Ed Sheeran Teams Up With Andrea Bocelli For 'Perfect' Collab

The British crooner just surprised fans with a duet featuring the famous Italian singer.

On Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, Ed Sheeran shared a new version of his hit song "Perfect." This time, Sheeran embraced a more orchestral sound as he sang with superstar Andrea Bocelli. While Sheeran opens the song, titled "Perfect Symphony," in English, Bocelli soon joins in in Italian before the two artists harmonize in Bocelli's native tongue.

According to Rolling Stone, Sheeran's brother Matthew arranged the song, as he works as a classical composer. While the music was recorded not long after the original track, Sheeran later recorded his vocals with Bocelli in the 59-year-old's home in Tuscany, Italy in October 2017. The recording process was captured in a video that accompanied the YouTube release of the new song.

Sheeran previously teased the song's release on Instagram. Sharing a photo of him and Bocelli, Sheeran called the track a "little gift for you all before Christmas."

This isn't the first time Sheeran's altered his song "Perfect." As Nicki Swift previously reported, Sheeran released a duet version of the track with Beyoncé.

While we wait to see if Sheeran drops any more versions of "Perfect," read up on the real reason we don't hear much from Bocelli anymore.
