Justin Timberlake Teases New Album, Shares Release Date

Get ready to hear your new favorite song.

On Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, Justin Timberlake announced that his fifth studio album, titled Man of the Woods, will drop on Feb. 2. The big news came in the form of a YouTube video, teasing fresh tracks and sharing commentary about the upcoming record.

"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I've ever written, where I'm from," Timberlake states in the video. "And it's personal."

Timberlake's frequent collaborator Pharrell is also featured in the teaser, telling the former NSYNC member, "It feels so earthy."

"It's just where you are in your life right now," Pharrell continued, adding, "That is a smash."

Timberlake's wife, Jessica Biel, and their son, Silas, also make appearances in the video.

Billboard notes that it's been four long years since Timberlake released an album, having debuted The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 back in 2013.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Timberlake confirmed that he'll be performing at the 2018 Super Bowl halftime show. The big game is slated for Feb. 4, 2018, just two days after the release of Man of the Woods. No news yet as to whether or not Timberlake will be singing any new tunes at the big game.

However, fans can likely look forward to hearing some more news from Timberlake in just a few short days, if his recent tweet is any indication. Sharing the album teaser on Twitter, Timberlake wrote, "FRIDAY."
