Justin Timberlake Features #MeToo Movement In 'Supplies' Music Video

The former NSYNC member just got political.

On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, Justin Timberlake released a new single, "Supplies," as well as the song's music video. And, in a surprising move, the singer took the opportunity to shed a light on some controversial movements that have erupted across the country in recent years.

In the opening scene of Timberlake's video, he sits facing a wall of TVs, each showing different real-life moments of the past few years. On one screen, disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein appears. The screen later switches to video of a pink #MeToo poster. Other TVs show videos of President Donald Trump and actor Kevin Spacey, both of whom have been accused of sexual misconduct.

Timberlake also watches videos pertaining to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and the fight to end gun violence.

After the scene with the TVs, the "Supplies" video transitions to a dystopian future, where Timberlake's love interest, played by Baby Driver actress Eiza González, appears to lead a rebellion.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Timberlake debuted his first single off of his upcoming record, Man of the Woods, in early January. His record is slated to be released on Feb. 2, 2018, just two days before he's to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.
