Celebs Who Can't Stand The Jenner Sisters
Kendall and Kylie Jenner have a lot of haters. Part of that is simply par for the course because they're rich, beautiful, and famous. However, some of the vitriol directed at these "Satellite Kardashians" is the fault of their own pettiness and penchants for drama. Here are the stars who've publicly or privately expressed their distaste for Kylie and Kendall.
Diddy
Sean "Diddy" Combs is clearly not a fan of the Jenner sisters, which he made apparent after the 2017 Met Gala.
Combs Instagrammed a photo of himself with Jaden Smith, Travis Scott, Wiz Khalifa, and Migos at the event, captioning the snap, "Black excellence." It was later revealed that Combs actually cropped Kendall and Kylie out of the photo.
Diddy never commented on why he did it. Maybe it was because they're not black and don't fit with the caption, or it could've been because they were awkwardly flipping the bird when no one else was. Regardless, Twitter reacted swiftly to the alleged snub, with many followers applauding the rap mogul.
Danielle 'Cash Me Outside' Bregoli
Notorious viral sensation Danielle "Cash Me Ousside" Bregoli apparently has a beef with the Jenner sisters. According to the Daily Mail, Bregoli mocked Kylie in her "These Heaux" video, which stars a Kylie look-alike getting injections all over her face and body. Bregoli also blasted Kylie in a radio interview: "How do you go from f**king lips the size of a twig and a body that looks like a f**king paperclip and now you look like a hourglass?"
Keke Palmer
Keke Palmer was somewhat sympathetic about Kylie's professed insecurities about her appearance, but Palmer doesn't approve of how Kylie went about gaining confidence, deeming her "inauthentic."
"So often people feel like, 'You know what? I'm just going to beat them to the punch and either degrade myself or be so damn perfect they have nothing to say.' We've seen extremes of that," Palmer told Yahoo Beauty. "In the sense of the Kardashians, it's like, 'I'm going to show you so much perfect and be everything a woman should be or everything a man would like or love.' Specifically in the situation with Kylie, where you've had a young girl people have seen on television since she was a kid and they literally told her she was so ugly ... the ugly person in the family — she went and did apparently everything the world deems as beautiful. The even crazier part is that everybody loves her for it."
Naomi Campbell
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has made it abundantly clear that she's not impressed with the trajectory of Kendall's modeling career.
Campbell addressed Kendall and other so-called "Instagirls" on an episode of The Meredith Viera Show. "I mean, good luck to them. I just feel like my generation of women, like Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Claudia [Schiffer] — we had to earn our stripes and take our stepping stones to get to where we've gotten to ... We worked so hard, and we're still working at it, and it just comes like that for them. But it can also be 'easy come, easy go.'"
She also subtly shaded Kendall and her kind in an interview with People. "We didn't have social media, so to be known the way we were without it says something, I guess. But everything changes, everything evolves, I just find the whole thing fascinating."
Jeffree Star
YouTube beauty guru and makeup mogul Jeffree Star started beefing with Kylie in December 2017 over her makeup kits.
He began by criticizing her makeup brushes, tweeting (via Allure), "Are the new @kyliecosmetics makeup brushes made out of animal hair? Is that why they're so expensive?? B***H I'M STILL DUMBFOUNDED!!!!" He then added that it was just "an honest question ... I'll still review it... LOL I ain't mad.. Just want to know why her team is being lazy."
Star also accused Kylie of copying him, writing, "I gotta know ONE THING... With all that f**king money she's made, why did @kyliecosmetics use the SAME PACKAGING as my liquid lipsticks that have been out since 2014??? Invest and make something different maybe?"
Yikes. That ain't pretty!
Madison Beer
Star wasn't the only beauty personality unhappy with Kylie's cosmetic business. Actress Madison Beer shaded her in October 2017 upon the release of Kylie's Purple Palette eye makeup. Beer accused Kylie of jacking her idea for the palette. According to StyleCaster, Beer wrote on Instagram: "When people fully steal your idea & what they come out with was supposed to be a collab ... WACK."
Though a collaboration between Kylie and Beer was never officially confirmed, Beer hinted to paparazzi in March 2017 that she may be working on makeup with her childhood pal.
When a follower replied to Beer's dig, accusing her of being too salty and noting that the actress did not invent purple eyeshadow, Beer shot back: "You sound very unintelligent. Who in their right mind would think they invented eyeshadow of any color or shade ... that is not at all in any way what I said or even slightly implied."
Amandla Stenberg
Hunger Games (2012) actress Amandla Stenberg took Kylie to task in July 2015 when the reality starlet posted an Instagram snap of herself with cornrows.
Stenberg delivered the following commented in response to the photo (via Us Weekly): "When u [sic] appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur [sic] position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur [sic] wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."
Kylie retorted: "@amandlastenberg Mad if I don't, Mad if I do.... Go hang w Jaden or something." (Stenberg took Kylie's ex, Jaden Smith, to prom that May. Do you feel old yet?)
Sofia Richie and Scott Disick
Sofia Richie hasn't responded yet, but we're willing to bet she and Scott Disick aren't the biggest fans of Kendall these days. Richie, who's dating Kourtney Kardashian's ex, Disick, is about 19 years younger than the self-proclaimed Lord. Kendall referenced this with a comment on an Instagram photo of Disick, Richie, and Disick and Kardashian's son, Reign. According to Entertainment Tonight, Jenner quipped, "awww, Scott and his kids" on the snap. Burn!
Blac Chyna
Of everyone who's beefed with the Jenner sisters, Blac Chyna has the most valid and understandable reason to dislike Kylie: Tyga was engaged to Chyna when he began allegedly dating a then-underage Kylie.
Even Kylie's own sister, Kim Kardashian, wasn't happy about Kylie's romance with Tyga, saying on an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians (via Us Weekly): "I understand that Kylie dating Tyga completely broke Chyna's heart. I feel for her in that situation. Was it uncomfortable for me when Kylie and Tyga started to date? Absolutely, because Chyna was my friend."
There has been plenty of vitriol and pettiness back and forth on social media between Chyna and Kylie. In 2015, TMZ reported that Chyna mocked Kylie's lip injections and that the women feuded over watches Tyga gifted them. In 2016, Entertainment Tonight reported that Chyna accused Kylie of copying her idea for an online cooking show.
Tensions seemed to cool at least somewhat when Chyna got engaged to Rob Kardashian in 2016, but that didn't end well either. In October 2016, Chyna accused Kylie of copying her birthday party theme for Chyna and Tyga's son, King Cairo.
In September 2017, The Blast reported that Kylie sued Chyna for vandalism for destroying Kylie's property when she lived in Kylie's house with Rob and Dream. Just a few weeks later, People reported that Chyna sued Kylie, Kendall, and the rest of the Kardashian krew for allegedly damaging her brand.
Amber Rose
In February 2015, Amber Rose publicly slammed Tyga for dating Kylie. "She's a baby," Rose told The Breakfast Club of Kylie and Tyga's relationship. "She needs to go to bed at 7 o'clock and relax."
After a bitter public feud with the rest of the family, Rose later said, "I feel like everything was extremely misunderstood. Listen, I met Kylie before, she was actually a really sweet girl, I was very surprised as to how nice she was to me. And I wasn't coming at Kylie. I was coming at Tyga on behalf of my best friend, Blac Chyna."
Stephanie Seymour
Supermodel Stephanie Seymour also has a thing or two to say about the Kendell-breed of models, telling Vanity Fair, "They are completely different than we were. Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title."
"B***hes of the moment," she cracked. "That would be a good title for them."
Rihanna
Insiders told OK! magazine that Rihanna beefed with Kendall over their mutual BFF, Cara Delevingne, because RiRi felt like Delevingne ditched her for Kendall.
"Ri's feelings were extremely hurt, and finds it even more embarrassing because to her, Kendall's just a talentless brat," a source claimed. "Rihanna has always kept a lid on her possessive streak with Cara, because they've had this magnetic attraction towards each other that's never been threatened by anyone else. Sure, they both have other BFFs and partners, but they've always found they could pick up where they left off when they next hung out."
The source also claimed that Rihanna wasn't thrilled with Kendall's friendship with Rihanna's abusive ex, Chris Brown.
Rebecca Romijn
Fellow model Rebecca Romijn is also nonplussed with the modeling success of Kendall and her peers. Romijn told Entertainment Tonight, "No one has proven yet that numbers of followers translates to revenue. So it is frustrating." She added, "I know a lot of people — legitimate fashion people — can't stand it. Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels."
Romijn didn't pull any punches, adding, "I have been disappointed that fashion magazines have been supporting this trend of social media stars to set our style standards. But it will change; fashion always does."
However,Romijn later reframed her previous statement to Us Weekly, "First of all, I was asked my opinion about a social media trend, no specific names were ever mentioned. Secondly, I'm embarrassed that I even used the word 'supermodel.' It's a dumb word that has always been too loosely thrown around ... [Jenner is] in a stratosphere that I never came close to in the modeling world ... it's not a competition and we don't get anything out of pitting women against each other."
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez has had a frenemy relationship with Kendall and Kylie for years, and their issues reportedly stem from Gomez's rocky on-again-off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.
In April 2014, Gomez hung out with the Jenner sisters at the Coachella Music Festival, even posing for and posting selfies with them — but Gomez unfollowed them soon after.
"Selena felt Kylie was flirting with Justin," a source told Us Weekly after the incident. Another source added that whatever went down went down at Bieber's rented home near the festival "got messy."
"Kylie sent sexy pics of herself to Justin and that's what started the fight. Selena saw the pictures on Justin's phone and she freaked out and left immediately," a source told Hollywood Life , adding, "Kylie and Kendall live in such a fantasy world with what the show has turned their family into. At the end of the day, Selena was there just to be a part of the show and enhance their brand rather than just being legit friends. Thankfully Selena realized that she was being used and got out."
Sources told TMZ that Gomez dropped the Jenners because of their alleged drug use, drinking, and hard partying. The tab says the Jenners have denied those claims, noting that Gomez has a history of alleged substance abuse.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift likely has issues with the Jenner sisters for a few reasons: loyalty to squad member Gomez; Swift and Kendall both dated Harry Styles; the Jenners' obvious relationship to Swift's nemeses Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
In May 2017, Kim revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Kendall was never part of Swift's squad despite having numerous mutual friends (including models Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, and Cara Delevingne) and even appearing in some of Swift's concerts for her 1989 tour.
What's more, some speculated that Swift's leg tattoo and orange boots in her music video for "Look What You Made Me Do" were subtle disses to Kendall, who sported similar looks in the past.
The Notorious B.I.G.'s estate
In June 2017, the Jenner sisters unveiled a line of merchandise featuring their faces on logos and images of musical icons including Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, Tupac Shakur, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, and Black Sabbath.
This infuriated Wallace's mother, Voletta, who slammed the girls on Instagram, writing, "I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my son Christopher to sell a T-shirt. This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!"
The Jenners responded to the backlash, tweeting, "These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry."
After the apology, Biggie's estate told Billboard in a statement, "While we appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved."
Paris Jackson
The Jenners didn't use any images of the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, in their controversial line of music-themed merchandise, but Jackson's daughter, Paris, was still miffed at the entire idea. Paris tweeted (via USA Today), "Pink Floyd is not Chanel. Led Zeppelin is not Michael Kors. Metallica is not Givenchy. Don't get it twisted. #bandsnotbrands#RESPECTMUSIC." She added, "As a huge fan of Zeppelin, The Doors, Floyd ... I mean, these bands literally helped shape who I am today. I can't condone this 'fashion.' Legends like these who completely changed our world today, not just the music world, should be respected and honored. Not turned into this."
The Osbournes
The Osbournes, a notoriously outspoken brood, were not pleased with the Jenners' use of Black Sabbath's images on their shirts. Sharon Osbourne tweeted a photo of one of the tees that featured Ozzy's likeness, writing, "Girls, you haven't earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know ... lip gloss."
Sharon and Ozzy's daughter Kelly was also nonplussed at the use of her father's face juxtapositioned with Kendall's. Kelly Instagrammed a photo of Kendall and Kylie with her own image super-imposed on top of it flipping the girls the bird.
The Doors
The surviving members of The Doors sent the Jenners a cease and desist letter for using their image on merch.
"The Doors have recently learned that Kendall + Kylie are selling shirts using the Protected Property without the Doors' authorization or consent," the letter reads. "Use of the registered trademarks in commerce is likely to cause confusion, mistake or to deceive consumers into believing that the Kendall + Kylie apparel was authorized by the Doors when no such authorization was sought or provided by the Doors ... The superimposing of a selfie of Kendall Jenner over the iconic 'Lion' portrait of the late Jim Morrison is offensive and remarkable for its failure to recognize the rights of the estate of Mr. Morrison to control the use of his likeness."
Jeff Jampol, manager of the Doors and Morrison's estate, told Rolling Stone, "This is a case of people who fashion themselves as celebrities who are famous for being well-known but don't actually do anything trying to utilize and steal and capitalize on the legacies of those who actually did do something and created amazing art and messages. It's ironic, at least, and criminal, at worst."
He added that the Jenners never contacted the surviving members of The Doors.
"They're obviously attention-seeking missiles who crave celebrity and being well-known but don't actually do anything," Jampol said. "It's the polar opposite of the artists that they're trampling all over. It's just spitting in the face and on top of art and message and soul and legacy."
James Hetfield
Metallica frontman James Hetfield was peeved at the Jenners' use of Metallica images on their T-shirts, and he made it known, telling Entertainment Tonight Canada, "I guess what they were thinking is, 'We can do whatever we want.' To me it's disrespectful."We've spent 36 years working, doing our best, to keep a really close connection with people [and] make every note count. And someone just throws something up over something that we feel — not that it's sacred or anything — but show some respect."
