Pink Sings National Anthem At 2018 Super Bowl While Battling Flu

The "What About Us" singer killed it!

Pink (real name Alecia Beth Moore) powered through the flu to kick off the 2018 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, with an emotional rendition of the national anthem, People reports.

Dressed in an all-gray outfit, the Pennsylvania native brought the crowd to its feet with her powerful vocals. Following her performance, Pink took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support. "All of your prayers and well wishes and candles got me through today. Thank you so much for all the love and support," she captioned a cute photo of herself with her daughter.

Earlier in the day, the singer hammed it up on Instagram, expressing her support for the Philadelphia Eagles before they faced off against the New England Patriots at the big game. "Wait, Eagles are gonna win by HOW MUCH?!?!" she captioned a goofy snapshot.

Prior to Pink's performance, former Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. sang a moving rendition of "America the Beautiful." Justin Timberlake is set to hit the stage for his highly anticipated halftime show.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Pink revealed on Saturday morning that she still planned on performing despite battling a nasty bout of the flu. As she explained on Instagram, her kids, 6-year-old daughter Willow and 1-year-old son Jameson, were to blame for her illness.

"Trying to practice the flu away," she captioned a photo of herself in rehearsals. "I've been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song. And now, my chance has finally come."

The "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" singer continued, "And it just so happens that this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish kids who literally cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek. You can't write this stuff I swear!"

"And here we are. I've arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare," the 38-year-old pop star went on. "I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?! I promise I will do my best, as I always do."

The mom of two concluded, "As far as the gremlins that got me into this mess, you can cough at me for the rest of your lives. If it's a contest, babies, you win. #spreadthelove #spreadthegerms #pleasegivememyvoiceback #ificansingimgonnakillit."
