Camila Cabello Says She's On 'Cloud Nine' Amid Matthew Hussey Dating Rumors

Camila Cabello is happier than ever — and it's due in part to her relationship with reported boyfriend Matthew Hussey.

On Thursday, March 15, 2018, the "Havana" singer opened up about her love life during an appearance on The Dan Wootton Interview podcast.

"I am really, really happy. ... I feel like I've never been happier in my life," she said, adding that she felt like she was on "cloud nine."

However, Cabello stayed mum on whether she's currently in love, saying, "As far as that, I have always been such a private person and the one thing that has been, I think, the hardest thing about this industry has been letting go of that privacy."

The "Never Be the Same" singer explained, "'Cause I feel like, for my sanity and for the sanity of the people I care about, you gotta keep some things sacred. I need to keep some things mine for them to be special — and just to protect that. But yeah, to answer your question, I'm really happy."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Cabello, 21, and Hussey, 30, first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico together in February.

"Camila recently started dating Matthew," an E! News source said at the time. "It wasn't something she expected, but she knew of him and really enjoys his work. She has been following him for a while and was a fan, but it took her by surprise that she has gotten to know him on a deeper level."

During her podcast interview, the former Fifth Harmony pop star also slammed speculation that Taylor Swift encouraged her to leave the popular all-girl group.

"It annoyed me that people said that she was encouraging me [to leave] because I know she probably got a lot of flak for that or a lot of negative criticism for that,"  Cabello, who is gearing up to perform as the opening act of Swift's Reputation tour, said. "And that annoys me because I'm really protective over my friends. Nobody could ever persuade me to do anything. If I don't want to do something, the whole world could be telling me [to do it], and I won't do it."
