Jamie Lynn Spears Welcomes Second Child

Jamie Lynn Spears has welcomed baby no. 2!

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the 27-year-old actress gave birth to her second child, a baby girl named Ivey Joan, People reports. This is the "How Could I Want More" singer's first child with husband Jamie Watson.

Spears' rep confirmed the happy news to the magazine, noting that the couple's little bundle of joy was born at 10:02 a.m. in Covington, La. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz., Ivey measured 19½ inches in length.

"We are beyond excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl to our family!" Spears told the publication. "Her middle name, Joan, is to honor my Aunt Sandra, who passed away 10 years ago from ovarian cancer. She was the most graceful woman I've ever known."

Spears, who is the younger sister of Britney Spears, first became a mom at the age of 17. She shares 9-year-old daughter, Maddie, with ex-boyfriend Casey Aldridge.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Spears announced that she and Watson, 35, were expecting a baby together in December 2017. "Looks like we are starting off 2018 with another big milestone ... sooo happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister," the former Nickelodeon star wrote on Instagram at the time, captioning a sweet snapshot of herself holding hands with Watson, whom she married in 2014, and her eldest daughter.

She continued, "2017 was filled with some of the biggest challenges of my life, as well as some of the biggest blessings, so I made a choice to lay low this year to focus on truly becoming my best self as a person and as an artist. During that time, I continued working on my music and telling my story, which has created some of my most honest work and I CANT wait to share that with you all very soon."

"2018 is going to be filled with many milestones both personally and professionally," Spears added. "I appreciate each of you for your patience and support through it all. 2018 has a lot coming, so GET READY........ #12DaysofJLS."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
