Amy Schumer Opens Up About Married Life

Amy Schumer is loving married life.

On Monday, April 16, 2018, the stand-up comedian gushed over her chef husband, Chris Fischer, while promoting her new movie, I Feel Pretty, during an exclusive interview with E! News.

"He's really proud of me," the 36-year-old newlywed began, adding, "He's proud of this movie."

She continued, "The best part [of being married] is just having a partner and being like 'I got a team.' It was just me and [my dog] Tatiana and now it's cool, you got someone to go through life with together that you love and you want to be partnered up with."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Schumer and Fischer tied the knot in a secret ceremony in February of this year, two days after the Trainwreck star confirmed their relationship with a photo booth picture of the two sharing a kiss on Instagram

The surprise wedding took place outside of a rented house in Malibu, Calif., where a number of A-listers, like Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, David Spade, Larry David, Judd Apatow, and Jake Gyllenhaal, were in attendance.

According to an Us Weekly source, "It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute. Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening on Tuesday from a text message sent out by Amy on Sunday. It was like, 'Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries.' People were in and out all night. It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time."

The happy news came just six months after it was announced that Schumer and ex-boyfriend Ben Hanisch had called it quits. "Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends," a rep for Schumer said at the time, explaining that the two had actually split in May 2017 after two years of dating.
