Glee Star Kevin McHale Comes Out As Gay

Kevin McHale has publicly commented on his sexuality for the first time.

On Friday, April 20, 2018, the former Glee star subtly came out as a gay man on social media with a little inspiration from Ariana Grande's latest single, "No Tears Left to Cry."

"#NoTearsLeftToCry is gayer than me and I ACCEPT. Ty @ArianaGrande," the actor tweeted, adding, "I'd like to request a remix with @JanetJackson. ty for ur time. @ArianaGrande."

According to the Huffington Post, the 29-year-old is rumored to be dating his When We Rise co-star Austin McKenzie. Over the last few months, McHale has fueled speculation of their alleged romance with photos on social media. Most recently, he shared an Instagram snapshot of the two cuddling while attending Coachella 2018 last weekend. "#mycoachella," he simply captioned the cute pic.

Ever since he began dropping hints about his sexual orientation, the actor's fans have shown him their love and support. "That's such an adorable pic! I'm so very happy for you @kevinmchale and wish you both all the best and lots of happiness!" one fan wrote in the comments section on Instagram, while another tweeted, "Y'all have no clue how much I am living for this coming out if that's what it is. No heartfelt speeches, just normalcy. Isn't it refreshing?"

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Grande released the first single off of her upcoming fourth studio album late Thursday, April 19. It marked the 24-year-old pop star's first musical release following the tragic terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester, England in May 2017, which took the lives of 22 people. According to an Us Weekly source, "She is really excited to release this new music. It's been awhile since Dangerous Woman came out and she is more than ready to be out there again."
