Stars Who Kept Their Baby Daddies A Secret

You know how excited you get when you see talk show host Maury Povich approach the stage with a yellow envelope? These celebs may want to visit his show, because the world has no idea who their babies' fathers are, and, in some cases, neither do the mothers.

Megan Fox

When Megan Fox stepped out with a baby bump in April 2016, no one really knew what to make of it. The actress filed for divorce from husband Brian Austin Green in August 2015 and was never spotted nor rumored to have been dating anyone else. She posted a silly Instagram poking fun at the media's questions, listing Shia LaBeouf, Will Arnett and New Girl star Jake Johnson as "#notthefather." So who is? Fox and her rep have remained mum, but E! Online confirmed that the daddy is actually Green. Does this mean a reunion is in the works? Maybe. "Megan and Brian love being parents," a source said. The couple already have two sons together: Bodhi Ransom Green is 2 years old and Noah Shannon Green will turn 4 in 2016. "They are working really hard to be together and one unit—not only for their children, but also for each other. They are looking forward [to] the arrival of their new baby."

January Jones

When actress January Jones had son Xander in 2011, the Mad Men starlet was single. People reports that she split from then-Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis shortly before announcing she was pregnant and was also getting some side-eye for her alleged involvement with Bobby Flay, who was married to Stephanie March at the time. E! Online reported that Jones was rumored to be hooking up with X Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn, who was also married. Still, Jones insists her mystery pregnancy was at least somewhat planned—for her, anyway. "I don't have room for anything else, so I don't know how I would have done it with a partner," she told Net-a-Porter's The Edit. "I knew I would be raising my son alone. It was something I went into knowingly, I was prepared mentally—and I was excited about it." As far as why she's keeping the father's identity a secret, she says, "It's just not something the public needs to know. I don't divulge my sexual preferences. There are parts of your life—no matter what your job—that should remain private."

Minnie Driver

Minnie Driver gave birth to son Henry in 2008, but no one had any clue who sired the tyke until three years later. The Oscar-nominated actress told The Guardian in February 2012 that the father was an episode writer for The Riches, a series in which she starred. "I don't need to protect him anymore. He can fend for himself. He's a grown-up. We weren't together and he wasn't directly in the business so I chose to protect him and not have a rain of publicity," she said. "He's not famous. There's no big story. Is he a good dad? Sort of. He's figuring it out," she added. "I mean, he hasn't been that involved—his choice. But he is now."

Camryn Manheim

Actress Camryn Manheim has remained mum about the father of her son, Milo, since his birth, but People dropped a few clues about potential paternity. "Camryn is the happiest I've ever seen her, and I've seen her at many happy moments," model Jeffrey Brezovar, who was at the birth, told the mag in 2001. When asked if he's the dad, he evaded with, "I really can't answer that question. I have an agreement not to speak." If he wasn't the father, wouldn't a simple "no" do the trick?

Bebe Buell

Singer and model Bebe Buell kept her daughter's father a secret from everyone, including her daughter, Liv Tyler. The actress and model grew up calling music producer Todd Rundgren her father, but when she was 8 years old, Liv figured out the truth: her dad is Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. She talked about uncovering her paternity on The Jonathan Ross Show in November 2015. "My mother was very young when she had me and there was a little bit of confusion about where I came from but I was very loved and very well taken care of by all my family, which was wonderful. I kind of figured it out because [Steven] looked exactly like me, and I have a sister named Mia who is a year younger than me, and I saw her standing at the side of the stage at a concert and I was literally like looking at my twin," Tyler said. "She looked exactly like me, and I looked at my mom and she had tears in her eyes, and I kind of put it all together."

Mia Farrow

Sure, Mia Farrow was married to Woody Allen when she had son Ronan Farrow, but that doesn't mean Allen is Ronan's pops. Rumors have plagued the family for years that Ronan's dad is actually Mia's ex, Frank Sinatra, who looks almost just like Ronan. When Vanity Fair asked Mia if Sinatra fathered her boy, she replied with one word, "Possibly." There have been no known DNA tests, so unless Maury Povich gets involved, the world may never know.

Padma Lakshmi

Part of why Padma Lakshmi kept the identity of daughter Krishna's father a secret is because, well, she wasn't sure who it was. The host of Top Chef told Entertainment Tonight that she was dating two men after her 2007 divorce from Salman Rushdie and did not initially know which of them was the father. "I probably shouldn't have been with anybody and just taken the time I needed for myself, but I was presented with two very different, very interesting men, and you know, men do it all the time," she says "I chose to do it. I was open with the men involved, and I'm gonna own my history. That's what I did." The Daily Mail reports that Lakshmi hoped billionaire beau, Teddy Forstmann, was the father. After a DNA test and a bitter custody battle, all parties learned that Krishna's dad was actually venture capitalist Adam Dell.
