TikTok Star Siya Kakkar Dead At 16
TikTok star and internet personality Siya Kakkar died by suicide at age 16 on June 25, 2020, local authorities confirmed to India Today. Kakkar was reportedly living with her family in New Delhi, India, at the time of her death. Police told the outlet she had been struggling with depression.
Kakkar, who had over 2 million followers on TikTok, posted her final clip on June 24, 2020. The teenager became famous for her dancing videos, lip-syncing, and upbeat skits, to name just a few of her talents.
"I can just say she was one of the finest artists and her focus was not money," Kakkar's manager, Arjun Sarin, told Entertainment Tonight about the loss. "Her focus was to work for her happiness." Sarin also paid tribute on Instagram, captioning a shot of the TikTok star, "No more words. You will always be the best artist."
In addition to Sarin, many fans have addressed Kakkar's death.

Upon the news of Siya Kakkar's passing, many fans left loving and heartbroken comments on her social media accounts."Very sad for a beautiful young girl," one person wrote on Instagram, while someone else said, "Miss you Siya. Will always love you."
Indian television actor Jay Bhanushali also took to Instagram to share his condolences with Kakkar's family. "Keep fighting," he implored his over 800,000 followers. And famed fashion photographer Viral Bhayani praised the late star for being "so good in her content."
Kakkar celebrated reaching the 1 million followers mark on TikTok in April 2020. "Thank you so much for "ONE MILLION FAMILY" on TikTok," she captioned a TikTok of herself posing and smiling in front of a heart-shaped cake."Mwaahh ly all."
