The Most Embarrassing Celebrity Confessions

There's really no other way to put it: These celebrity confessions are downright awkward. Whenever us non-famous folks do something embarrassing, we're likely to merely confess to our dogs and spare ourselves any of the usual judgment. But when you're a star, you sometimes have to relive your life's most embarrassing moments in front of a live studio audience or a magazine reporter and hope for the best. Or, at worst, you can say a silent prayer before typing your name into Google.

Fortunately for us, here are several celebrities who didn't take themselves too seriously when discussing their hilarious and sometimes salacious mishaps. Who unknowingly flashed an iconic director in front of an entire restaurant? Who had to make a trip to the hospital because of Labradoodle urine? Who keeps her friends' hair in her purse? And does Hugh Jackman need that much water? Really?

Brace yourselves, readers. Here are some of the most embarrassing celebrity confessions to get you through the day.

Zac Efron's red carpet condom mishap

Zac Efron might have stolen your "High School Musical"-loving hearts, but he appeared to be more like the worst nightmare of every high school girl's father when a condom fell out of his pocket on a red carpet in 2012. To be fair, Efron's reaction skills were on point. He quickly retrieved the rubber and hid it behind a wry smile and a closed fist. What makes this more embarrassing, however, is that the prophylactic popped out at a movie premiere for "The Lorax" — a kids' flick.

After the initial shock died down, Efron appeared on the "Today" show, and when prompted to discuss the snafu, he said, "I never really had a pocket-checking policy when I was going on the red carpet before, but now we've fully instated one." When interviewer Matt Lauer responded with, "[It's] better to be safe than sorry, right?" Efron quipped, "That's a great message to add to the many messages in the film."

Megan Fox vs. your toilet

Megan Fox is a talented actor who's also no stranger to controversy, but part of that simply has to do with the star's tendency to overshare. In a 2008 interview with FHM (via HuffPost), for example, the "Transformers" actor candidly revealed why you might consider putting an out of order sign on your bathroom door if she ever decides to stop by for a visit. "I'm horrible to live with," Fox admitted. "I don't clean. My clothes end up wherever I take them off. I forget to flush the toilet. Friends will tell me, 'Megan, you totally pinched a loaf in my toilet and didn't flush.'" (Okay, if we're the Febreze marketing team, we'd be putting in a call to her agent, for sure. Why hasn't this happened already? It seems a like a missed opportunity.)

Two years later, Fox publicly commented yet again on her bathroom habits, and perhaps shed some more light on her previous embarrassing confession when she claimed during an interview with Allure (via HuffPost): "Every time someone uses a bathroom and they flush, all the bacteria is shot into the air."

Try not to smell Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson has spent the majority of his career attempting to distance himself from the sparkly emo vampire role that made him a household name. Unlike his clean-cut-and-dead character Edward in "Twilight," the very much alive Pattinson seemingly wanted everyone who had a poster of him on their wall to know that he was anything but clean.

In a 2009 interview with the UK's New! Magazine (via Us Weekly), the actor claimed he rarely changed his clothes — to the point where fans may have switched their allegiance to Team Jacob. "These jeans are a few days old," he told the mag. "But the top is probably fresh because it gets to the point where even I can't stand the air around me. I don't know, my personal hygiene — it's so disgusting!"

We assume Pattison can afford dry cleaning and a pretty decent washing machine these days, so hopefully, his clothes and personal hygiene habits are in a much better place. They certainly seem to be. Following years of sharing some surprising details about his lack of hygiene, he told The Wall Street Journal in 2014, "I was a brush-your-teeth-and-have-a-shower kind of guy. I can't tell if it's because of my association with Dior or because I'm older, but I've started moisturizing. It's been a quite profound change in my life."

Fergie's urine misadventure

In what "London Bridge" singer Fergie — real name Stacy Ferguson — has considered "the most unattractive moment of [her] life," she wet her pants while performing on stage in 2005. In 2014, Fergie told Hot 97 radio (via the Daily Mail) that it wasn't a common occurrence for her to have this kind of accident while performing. "This does not just happen all the time," she said, explaining that she was stuck in traffic and late for the Black Eyed Peas' show, so when she arrived, she hustled on stage to perform "Let's Get it Started."

"I get crazy and I jump and I run across the stage and my adrenaline was running," she recalled, and then, suddenly, something else was running, too. "I wish it didn't happen," Fergie lamented. "It was so embarrassing."

To be fair, she's not the only celebrity who's had an accident while performing. Stay tuned for more on this bladderlicious (and bowelicious) club.

Nick Jonas' stinky first kiss

In a game of "Snog, Marry, Kill" on BBC 1's "School Run" (via ET), Nick Jonas decided to marry Demi Lovato, snog (look it up) Kate Hudson, and off Miley Cyrus. Now, why would the famous boy bander theoretically kill off a woman he dated for two years? You guessed it — embarrassment.

"The first person I kissed was Miley Cyrus and I kissed her outside of California Pizza Kitchen in Hollywood. Very romantic," Jonas divulged to the crowd. "I'd just had a pizza that had onions all over it. I'm sure that my breath smelled terrible."

We can't blame the dude for trying to win a woman's heart with pizza at a casual dining chain, but we feel Jonas might be overthinking the power of onions on relationships a bit. "I don't know [if she'd remember]. I'd have to ask her," he conceded of the "7 Things" hitmaker. "But I'm sure she does. It was probably pretty potent."

Martha Stewart's surprisingly racy text life

She's clearly a lady in the streets, but when Martha Stewart gave a no-holds-barred interview with Andy Cohen of "Watch What Happens Live" in 2013, she revealed that she may be a freak in those high-thread-count sheets (we kid, we kid).

When asked if she'd ever had a one-night stand, Stewart — who's known to share relationship advice on her website — coyly answered, "Yes," but declined to dish details. When pressed about her love life, however, she also admitted to sexting, and though she said she had never hooked up with another woman, she played it pretty close to the pocket when Cohen asked if she'd ever engaged in group sex. "Maybe," she smirked. While some might have found these confessions to be TMI, you do you, Martha!

Fast forward to late 2021, when Stewart returned to Cohen's late-night show and was yet again holding details about her love life close to her chest. While she initially responded in the negative when asked whether she was romantically involved with anyone (via People), she later admitted, "I shouldn't say no. I mean yes, but I'm not going to tell you." Fair enough!

Christopher Mintz-Plasse's mom watched him film an 'awkward' scene

We've probably all seen "Superbad" at this point. And it's great — who doesn't love coming-of-age comedies where friends go on a quest to lose their virginities, and then hijinks ensue? However, if you've tried to repress Christopher Mintz-Plasse's love scene as a traumatic memory, turns out it was worse for him while acting it out in real life.

In a 2009 interview with The Guardian, Mintz-Plasse, who played McLovin, revealed that his mom was watching. "Because I was 17, for legal reasons my mother had to be on the set," he explained. "It was real awkward but it worked out [okay] because when I watched the movie with her the sex scene wasn't awkward because she'd been right there when it happened." Yikes.

Well, the cringe is real with this celebrity confession, with Mintz-Plasse going on to say, "Afterwards we didn't talk about it; we still don't speak about that moment." Understandable!

Rumer Willis admittedly crushed on ex-stepdad Ashton Kutcher

Is there anything weirder than your mom marrying your celebrity crush? Rumer Willis, whose father is actor Bruce Willis, was admittedly mortified when her mother, actor Demi Moore, first started dating "That '70s Show" alum Ashton Kutcher. As you may recall, much was made about the unlikely couple's age gap — Moore was 41 at the time; Kutcher was 25 — and the two would famously go on to wed in 2005 and ultimately divorce in 2013.

Years after their split, Rumer opened up about the moment she found out her mom was hooking up with her crush. "That's when you open your Teen Beat and just take him down, rip out somebody else, and put them up," she told Howard Stern in 2015 (via E! News), adding, "I feel like I told my sister that at one point like, 'Man, gotta cross him off the list.'" That said, Rumer added that she gave her mom credit: "I was kind of impressed like, 'Yeah girl, get it.'"

Despite the initial awkwardness, Rumer told Stern of Kutcher, "It was definitely weird for a minute but I have to commend him. He was a really great stepfather." Understandably then, the two have since stayed in touch.

Kristen Bell and the attack of anal worms

If you've ever happened to catch any Kristen Bell interview, you'll quickly realize that she's a habitual oversharer (more on this below). That was the case once again when she appeared on "The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale" in 2018.

"I did have anal worms two weeks ago, I swear to god. They're called pinworms," "The Good Place" star casually dropped on the unsuspecting audience. Some might feel that she probably should have ended it there, but honestly, who doesn't like hearing an uncomfortably detailed story about anal worms? Go big or go home — and true to form, Bell opted for the former. According to the actor, her road to an itchy butt started when she asked teachers at her daughters' preschool why all the carpeting had recently been removed. The answer? A pinworms breakout. Bell then immediately went home, hopped on Google, and discovered they were very contagious, adding, "Of course, my 3-year-old was [scratching] for like a week. And then you have to monitor it and you have to look in their poop and when you wipe their butt. Sure enough, I wiped ... saw a little white worm."

Later that day, Bell caught the itch herself. Luckily, the anal worm invasion was treated and defeated by what the star referred to as "chalky nonsense from the drugstore." Let Bell's cautionary tale be a lesson to everyone: Avoid places with ripped up carpets and keep those fingernails clipped.

That time everyone asked, what was Hugh Grant thinking?

"OK, let me start with question No. 1: What the hell were you thinking?" Jay Leno asked Hugh Grant during the British actor's now infamous appearance on "The Tonight Show" in 1995. That question was met with nervous laughter from the audience, because a mere two weeks prior, Grant (who was dating fellow actor Elizabeth Hurley at the time) was arrested for misdemeanor lewd conduct after being caught in the act with a sex worker.

"It's not easy explaining," responded Grant, who pleaded no contest to the charges, to Leno. "People have given me tons of ideas on this one, from, 'I was under a lot of pressure, I was lonely, I fell down the stairs when I was a kid.' ... But I think it would just be bollocks to say anything like that. I did a bad thing, and there you have it."

Thankfully, Grant didn't have the internet and social media to contend with in the aftermath of his scandal, but to his credit, the "Love Actually" star didn't shy away from making the talk show circuit rounds to discuss the embarrassing incident. Although he was tabloid fodder for a while, Grant's career didn't suffer due to a tactic we rarely see in celebrity scandals these days — he didn't make any excuses. "I was just an idiot," he reflected to People in 2018. "I didn't try to say, 'I've got this psychological problem.' I just said, 'I did it.'"

Jessica Simpson 'shocked' her dentist

Singer and fashion designer Jessica Simpson shocked her fans when, during a 2010 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she said she often skips the tooth-brushing part of oral care and goes directly for the mouthwash. "I don't brush them everyday," she said (via Us Weekly). "I'll use a shirt or something. I know it's gross, but I always have fresh breath." Simpson also defended her regimen, saying, "My teeth are so white and I don't like them to feel too slippery, but I do use Listerine and I do floss every day."

Meanwhile, Simpson's dentist later weighed in, telling People magazine, "I was kind of shocked. I assumed everybody brushed their teeth all the time. People pay us a lot of money for that slippery feeling. It's kind of the best part." He added, "It's great that she's flossing all the time, but you have to brush too. What goes on in your mouth really affects your whole body." By the way, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends brushing twice daily and replacing one's toothbrush every three to four months or sooner, depending on the bristles' wear.

Jenny McCarthy's epic 'walk of shame'

In 2013, HuffPost published a rather embarrassing account of Jenny McCarthy's pre-Playboy love life. "I was in college and I just broke up with my high school sweetheart of, like, seven years, so I hadn't been with anyone except him. So, I met this boy in college and we saw each other a few times and then we went back to his place and did it," she recalled to the outlet. "And right afterwards he said to me, 'Are you hungry?' And I said 'Yeah!'" The unnamed guy mentioned that there was a McDonald's nearby and took McCarthy's order (a Big Mac with no pickles and extra sauce, for those curious). "He got up and left ... and never came back," she admitted. "And I was in his apartment!"

But it wasn't until after four hours of waiting in hunger that McCarthy finally realized that the fast-food joint was actually closed, and he had ditched her. Yikes. "So I had to do the walk of shame back to my college apartment," the star continued. "That was, like, the worst experience." While McCarthy obviously recovered and has since forged a booming, multi-faceted career in showbiz, we can't help but wonder what that college guy is up to now.

Katy Perry will keep your hair

Fans at Katy Perry's iHeartRadio listening party for "Prism" in 2013 got a bit more information than they probably needed when the "Firework" singer was asked to describe the contents of her purse. Noting that her bag was "big and empty now," the pop star then confessed to possibly being a witch or maybe the world's most adorable potential serial killer. We kid, of course, but we'll leave you to be the judge on this one.

"One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift," Perry explained (via Yahoo! News). "And I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome." According to Perry, "I put little bows on them individually and put them in my purse. And that was my little secret and I'm a freak!"

The subsequent on-and-off feud between Perry and Swift has, of course, been so well-documented that a future civilization might just base an entire religion around it — but considering these two officially commemorated making amends in Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" music video in 2019, we're guessing Perry's kept Swift's lock of hair intact.

Ariana Grande's toes were no match for dog pee

You know how it is. Sometimes you slip up and reveal an embarrassing story about yourself, and sometimes you slip up and reveal an embarrassing story about yourself and your dog to a friend of yours who then takes a screenshot and posts it on social media. We've all been there.

In 2014, Ariana Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, received a text from the perpetually ponytailed pop star, which read, "Had a great party last night and in front of a lot of people I slipped on a huge pile of Ophelia piss, slammed into a wall and broke 3 toes. Have a great day." Braun replied with, "This is the kind of text that gets me pumped for the new week. Thank you." He then proceeded to post the exchange on his Instagram with the caption: "Monday morning texts from @arianagrande are always the best. Lol. Gotta love this girl. Feel better Ari."

Grande's toes have had years to recover from this, and considering the "No Tears Left to Cry" hitmaker admittedly takes her career much more seriously than she takes herself, we imagine her pride has luckily held up, as well.

Lucy Hale: don't take the wheel

You might know Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery from the teen mystery drama "Pretty Little Liars," but in an interview with People, she apparently told the whole truth about her driving skills.

"I was having dinner with my boyfriend at the time's family. He was telling them how bad of a driver I was. I was sticking up for myself, saying I was a great driver. And then I backed up into his aunt's new car. I was humiliated. It was terrible," she said. The damage? A minor dent on Hale's car, thankfully none to that of said boyfriend's aunt, and some hurt pride on the actor-singer's part. "My boyfriend at the time was like, 'See? I told you,'" she added. Ouch.

This unfortunate anecdote wasn't the first time Hale took the self-deprecating route when describing her prowess, or lack thereof, behind the wheel. Back in 2014, she called herself "one of the worst drivers" with a laugh in an interview with Fox News, and even left a warning for trash cans and mailboxes everywhere: "I don't hit moving objects, I hit stationary objects. And I have a talent for getting parking tickets."

Louis Tomlinson took the wrong direction

One Direction mania admittedly isn't what it used to be. After Zayn Malik branched out to pursue a solo career in 2015, the rest of the U.K. boy band eventually decided to do the same (as members of boy bands tend to do). Since then, Harry Styles has become the group's breakout superstar, with the "As It Was" hitmaker managing to forge a successful multi-faceted career as a solo act, movie star, and even a Gucci fashion designer with the HA HA HA campaign in 2022. So, what we're saying is, you really shouldn't feel too sorry for these successful and talented guys. However, you might feel a little bad for Louis Tomlinson for the following embarrassing celebrity confession.

"One time Harry and I were skiing together when a guy and a girl came up with a camera," Tomlinson told Seventeen back in 2013, amid the height of 1D's popularity. "We assumed they were going to ask us for a photo, so we stood there with our arms around each other, posing. They said, 'No, we want you to take a photo of us!' It was so embarrassing!"

Hugh Jackman, Beauty and the Beast, and urine

Who doesn't love Hugh Jackman? "X-Men" villains? The man is a global treasure. Unfortunately, he is, believe it or not, an actual human in real life ... capable of making human mistakes.

In an appearance on "Rachael Ray," everyone's favorite movie mutant reminisced about the time he wet his pants during a 1996 Australian production of "Beauty and the Beast." According to Jackman, who was playing Gaston, he had been suffering from painful headaches for months and was advised to drink more water. On this particular day, however, he went a tad overboard on the hydration.

"Literally, I'm picking up Belle and as I pick her up, I stopped singing," Jackman told Ray (via ABC News), "and right in that moment I realized the muscles you need to release in order to sing are the ones you do not want to release if you need to go." We've all been there, Hugh. We still love you. Please come back and play Wolverine again — he probably doesn't require that much water.

Food poisoning, starring Chris Brown

Chris Brown has admittedly done more controversial things than what would be considered "embarrassing" since his time in the public eye, but when a trip down memory lane includes the phrase, "I just remember my stomach starting bubbling," you know you're about to order some second-hand embarrassment off the menu.

Describing an epic bout of food poisoning on MTV's "When I Was 17" in 2011, Brown recalled the time those bubbles hit him midway through a performance. Although he tried to soldier on and give the crowd its money's worth, the real show was happening in his pants. "So I just remember dancing and onstage in the midst of all that, I ... is it like sharted?" he confessed (via MTV News). "The crowd didn't know it, and I had like an outfit change coming up, so I said, 'Yeah, I can hold it out one more song,' and this is real disgusting and too descriptive, it was just ... I just remember it running down my leg."

Shoutout to the person who had to dispose of those pants after the costume change. You're the real MVP.

Justin Bieber vomited on stage

Justin Bieber kicked off his 2012 "Believe Tour" in Glendale, Arizona by giving a stadium full of screaming girls and their parents something they weren't expecting: vomit. Twice.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's account, "Bieber suddenly turned around and doubled over while his dancers continued to dance and his backing track continued to play." While the Biebs ran backstage to handle his stomach issues, "Some unfortunate person cleaned up the mess." We feel there should be a support group for this kind of thing (we're looking at you, Chris Brown's pants guy). After throwing up once again shortly after, Bieber was luckily able to return to the stage and into the welcoming arms of his Beliebers. "It's hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people," he told the crowd, who naturally answered in the affirmative when the pop star asked, "Will you love me even though I'm throwing up on stage?"

After the concert, Bieber addressed the headline-making incident on Twitter by quoting "Anchorman": "And .... Milk was a bad choice! Lol."

When Jennifer Lawrence met Francis Ford Coppola

Jennifer Lawrence has had more embarrassing moments than she'd probably like to count, and we're pretty sure she holds the celebrity record for tripping in public — but her chance meeting with legendary director Francis Ford Coppola at a Paris restaurant might be the most Jennifer Lawrence thing of them all.

The Oscar-winning actor recalled the awkward encounter on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2015 (via ET). "So I'm barefoot, and I, like, introduced myself, said, 'Oh, I'm such a huge fan! "The Godfather"! Ahhhh!' And then went on and introduced myself to the whole table, 'Hi, I'm Jennifer Lawrence.' They had no idea who I was," Lawrence recalled. "Then, I went back to my table, and [I realized] my entire dress was unzipped, and my thong was out. So I'm barefoot, and my whole a** was out."

Oh, but wait a second. Hollywood's most lovable goofball wasn't finished telling one of the most embarrassing celebrity confessions just yet. Calling it "my most humbling moment," she also told Entertainment Weekly that she remained confident that Coppola wouldn't be joining her fan club anytime soon. "I ran away," Lawrence added, "and he probably thought I was Snooki from 'Jersey Shore.'"

Charlie Puth and his TMI reputation

For Charlie Puth, music entails more than just alternating pitches and frequencies — it's also a sex language, and one he does not hold back on using. During a May 2022 interview, the "One Call Away" singer opened up about his first time masturbating and his interesting choice of song for the moment. "The first song I ever jerked off to was f***ing 'This Love' by Maroon 5," he told Bustle. "Now I'm good friends with Adam Levine. [I told him] and he was like, 'That's really weird.'"

This was, however, not the only intimate tidbit of information Puth has shared with the public. In the same interview, Puth delved into details about when he lost his virginity at the age of 21, revealing that it was with a fan who had requested an autograph on her chest. "I never saw her again," he added. "She was lovely, but it makes me sad sometimes because I wish the older version of me was like, 'Hey, you might want to just make this like a little more memorable.'"

Of course, if you follow Puth on TikTok and Twitter, you might already know of his affinity to write or talk about sex. So much so that, in August 2021, social media personality Sarah Schauer tweeted, "If someone doesn't f*** him soon I fear the worst." And if you thought the singer would reject this reputation on the internet, the answer is no. "I'm really horny. I think to be a creative, you have to be a little bit," he told Bustle.

Kourtney Kardashian received surprising fertility advice

During a May 2022 episode of her family's Hulu reality show "The Kardashians," Kourtney Kardashian opened up to Ayurvedic guru Martha Soffer about her failed attempts to have a child with husband Travis Barker via IVF, as well as the bizarre advice she received during a prior medical appointment. "I can't remember what he said, if [my thyroid level] was low or high," Kourtney said of her doctor (via E! News). "But he told us, well, he told me, that the thing that would help it was drinking [Travis'] come, like, four times a week."

Soffer, however, was not on board with the suggestion, as she advised Kardashian and Barker to go on a Panchakarma cleanse. "Our last egg retrieval was not successful," the Poosh founder later said during a confessional. And so, while this age-long traditional treatment meant forgoing things like caffeine, exercise, and even intercourse for an extended period, the lovebirds seemed excited to try it out.

Sadly, after months of trying, the couple eventually paused on their IVF treatments. "I felt like we kind of got pushed into doing IVF," Kardashian admitted during an appearance on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast that October. "... We are for now, done with IVF. We say prayers and hope that god blesses us with a baby."

Shawn Mendes apparently talks dirty in his sleep

If you thought nothing was wilder than getting a semen therapy prescription from a doctor, you might want to hold that thought. Shawn Mendes is here — and he apparently has an embarrassing sleeping habit. During an August 2021 appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," singer Camila Cabello exposed how Mendes has the ability to fall asleep easily, mostly after about five minutes of lying down, and that when he gets deep into the sleep, the "Treat You Better" singer has a habit of sleep-talking. Disclaimer: his words are anything but ordinary.

"I would be reading or something, and he would just start sleep-talking, and it would scare the s*** out of me, because he'd just be like, 'Baby! That! Feels! So! Good!' and then he'd go back to sleep. That is the first thing he ever said when he slept-talked, by the way," Cabello revealed. Confused as to what was going on, the "Havana" singer simply muttered "Thank you?" in response to Mendes' inadvertent dirty talk.

Sadly, that November, and only a few months after Cabello's headline-making confession, the couple broke up. "We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends," they wrote in part in a joint statement on their Instagram Stories (via Page Six). Still, relationship or not, Cabello's confession about Mendes' dirty sleep-talking isn't one to forget.

Meghan Trainor and her husband use the bathroom together

Love can be expressed in different ways, and for singer Meghan Trainor, using the bathroom together is apparently one of them. Meghan once shared tidbits about her relationship with husband Daryl Sabara, and let's just say they bond in a pretty unconventional way. During a joint appearance on Nicole Byer's "Why Won't You Date Me?" podcast, Meghan's brother, Ryan Trainor, put out a disclaimer, letting the world know that even though he is single, he wants nothing like his sister's relationship with her husband. "You guys are weirdos, bro. ... They poop together!" he said. "She's pooping, and Daryl's like, 'I'm going to hang out with you now!'"

Confirming Ryan's claims, Meghan admitted she and Sabara started the practice because having him at the door in public bathrooms helps her feel safer. The "All About That Bass" singer then went on to make an even bigger reveal — she and her husband have side-by-side toilets in their home. "A lot of times in the middle of the night, when we're with the baby, we gotta pee at the same time," she explained. "So I was like, 'Can we please have two toilets next to each other?'"

However, Meghan would later set the record straight, writing on Twitter that October that they've only gone No. 2 together once. "We laughed and said never again ... but he'll hang out with me if I'm [poop emoji]-ing cuz WE SOULMATES," she added. "And i legit miss him when I'm away from him. And we pee together obvi."

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard don't bathe their kids until they 'stink'

If personal hygiene is of utmost importance to you, you might want to stay away from actors Kristen Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard, who apparently have an unusual approach to their kids' hygiene. The couple share two daughters, both of whom they don't bathe very often — at least, not until they smell. "I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink," Bell said during a joint appearance on "The View" in August 2021. "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up."

In another interview with "Daily Blast Live," Shepard explained that they had a more consistent bathing routine for their children as babies, but slowed this down as the girls got older. Let this come as no surprise, though, as the "Hit and Run" star doesn't treat himself any differently than his daughters. "I'll just say, for America, Kristen has better hygiene than me," Shepard admitted, explaining, "Kristen wears makeup more often than I do, she has to take it off. ... I'm not in that stuff that often, so I only have to [shower] when either a smell is present or I'm in that stuff."

It turns out these two aren't the only celebrity parents who don't bathe their children as often as some might think: Fellow actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher previously confessed on Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast that they only wash their two kids when dirt is visible on them.

Kesha's supernatural sexual experience

Before the release of her 2012 track "Supernatural," singer Kesha made an appearance on KIIS FM, where she confessed to host Ryan Seacrest that the tune was inspired by her own apparent sexual experiences with, well, the supernatural. "I don't know his name. He was a ghost! I'm very open to it," she said (via Entertainment Weekly).

The pop star later doubled down on her claims during an appearance on "Conan," saying, "He was in my house ... and he just started caressing me." While Kesha quipped, "I did go to the bone zone with a ghost," she clarified, "It was a sexy time, but it wasn't, like, sex."

A full decade later, we were still reveling in this bizarre confession, and if there's one thing Kesha will do, it's talk about her experiences with ghosts. Speaking to E! News' "Daily Pop" in promotion of her show "Conjuring Kesha" in July 2022, the "Praying" hitmaker recounted this paranormal experience again, albeit a tad differently from what she'd previously shared. "I woke up and looked at the end of the bed, and there was an apparition of a woman," she said. "So, full disclosure, I never actually slept with a ghost. But she did wake me up in a very sensual way."

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly drink one another's blood

In January 2022, Megan Fox announced her engagement to musician Machine Gun Kelly. "Just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes," Fox captioned a heartwarming Instagram video of the proposal. But while a simple yes would have sufficed in sealing their love, Fox then revealed that they took things up a notch writing, "... and then we drank each other's blood."

The "Till Death" actor would later confirm in an interview with Glamour that she and Kelly did indeed exchange blood, though she also clarified some things. "So, I guess to drink each other's blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we're like 'Game of Thrones,' drinking each other's blood," Fox said with a laugh. "It's just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other's blood on occasion for ritual purposes only."

This, of course, is not the only surprising thing we've learned about Fox's relationship with Kelly. From foot fetishes and other TMI confessions about their sex life to that blood vial necklace Fox gifted to her man (okay, so maybe we all should have seen the whole blood-drinking thing coming), these two have long been open about the unconventional ways they express their love for one another.

Robert Patterson noticed an unlikely theme in his work

For "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" alum turned indie darling Robert Pattinson, masturbation scenes have become a surprising niche in his more recent filmography. While the British star owes the bulk of his success to his undeniable acting talent (not to mention his good looks), his ability to perform convincing self-pleasuring scenes onscreen became headline-worthy in 2019.

Pattinson recalled the unsettling moment he realized this recurring pattern during an interview with Variety. While promoting "The Lighthouse," he candidly divulged: "I keep masturbating. In the last three, four movies, I've got a masturbating scene. I did it in 'High Life.' I did it in 'Damsel.' And 'The Devil All the Time.' I only realized this when I did it the fourth time." Of scene No. 4 — which was actually filmed on Pattinson's first day on set for "The Lighthouse" — the crew and director Robert Eggers were left a bit shocked by how far he was willing to go with his performance, in which his character uses a clay mermaid figurine as, um, inspiration. Talk about breaking the ice.

Describing it to The New York Times as a "ferocious masturbation scene," Pattinson admitted, "It's always nice to do something massive for your opening shot, and I went really massive on the first take." Acting obviously requires performers to play out all types of surprising scenarios, but we imagine it was at least a little embarrassing for the Independent Spirit Award nominee to recall this particular onscreen obligation in the press.

Cara Delevingne's embarrassing airplane confessions

Hooking up on a plane seems to be something cut out of a movie scene. But Cara Delevingne's experience was no movie. During a 2016 interview with her "Suicide Squad" co-star, Margot Robbie, Delevingne made the headline-making confession to Love magazine. "I've had sex in planes a lot," the actor candidly said (via The Sun). "But I've always been caught. It's super-hard not to get caught."

As if randomly getting caught wasn't enough, Delevingne recounted of one of her in-air escapades, saying, "I had sex in the chair on the plane, and there was a guy watching." She added, "We ended up telling the air stewardess what was happening. Like, 'This guy keeps staring at us. Can you tell him to stop?'"

Delevingne is, of course, not the only celebrity to have had sex while flying, as the likes of Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Zoe Saldana have all admitted to being a part of the mile high club. Meanwhile, fellow model Chrissy Teigen once confessed a similar incident involving herself and husband John Legend to Cosmopolitan, explaining, "We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class. We were under a blanket. We weren't even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that."
