The Real Reason Blac Chyna Left Rob Kardashian For Good
Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian just can't seem to keep it together. The pair reportedly had an explosive fight over the weekend of Dec. 16, 2016, leading Chyna to walk out on Kardashian completely—and take their newborn daughter, Dream, with her. What happened, and why won't they be able to work it out after all? Let us count the ways.
They rushed into the relationship
Kardashian, 29, and Chyna, 28, first began dating in January 2016. In April 2016, they announced they were engaged. A month later, it was revealed that Chyna was pregnant with Kardashian's first child. The pair accelerated every aspect of their relationship, and when a couple puts the pedal to the metal in such a way, it's often a recipe for disaster. As we've seen time and time again in Hollywood, famous pairs who rush their relationships often don't get to know one another well enough to see if they'll make sense as a long-term couple, and when there's a child involved, there's even more pressure to add a legally binding contract to the relationship. Sources told People that Chyna and Rob are "like oil and water," so compatibility is an issue that doesn't seem to be fixing itself.
He's desperate
TMZ reports that Blac Chyna isn't Kardashian's first fiancee, according to his famous family. The site reports that his family didn't take his initial proposal to the former stripper seriously because he's a serial proposer: he popped the question to former girlfriend Adrienne Bailon before allegedly cheating on her, causing their breakup. He claimed to also have proposed to Rita Ora, whom he later publicly accused of cheating on him with over 20 men. Ora later denied that they were ever in a relationship.
His family thinks she's a gold digger—and he might, too
Aside from issues we already knew about, including Chyna's understandable issues with Kylie Jenner, there are other problems between the Kardashian clan and Chyna, most notably that they think she's using Rob for the family money.
After he proposed to Chyna with a $750,000 ring in April 2016 and gave her a $250,000 car within the same month, a source told Page Six that the family was concerned over Rob's big spending on his then-future baby mama. "Rob wants to buy her a new car...She wants a brand-new house before their baby is born. His family wants him to slow down. They're [thinking], 'Is this really how you want to spend money when you're about to have a family?'"
It got worse when Chyna attempted to file a trademark for the name Angela Renee Kardashian, which would legally be her moniker if and when she and Rob tie the knot. People reports that Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian filed to block Chyna from registering her name, accusing her of of "deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity" that her new name will give her, and alleging that the family would "suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill" if the trademark were granted.
Now, it appears Rob feels the same way his sisters do. A source told People, "He keeps fighting with her over issues that his family had from the beginning. He doesn't trust that she actually loves him and that their relationship is only about money to her."
He's insecure
A source told People that Rob has a habit of sabotaging the relationship himself. "He has absolutely been the instigator in most of their past fights. His emotional problems takes over and he lashes out at Chyna over ridiculous stuff," the source said. "Chyna just had a baby and he keeps fighting with her over ridiculous things. It's like he just can't help himself. Whenever he gets along with Chyna, he finds a way to ruin it. He is crazy suspicious and doesn't trust her at all."
Sources previously told TMZ that Rob thinks Chyna really wants to be with a rapper and not a "fat Armenian" like himself, and that he often would bring up her history with rappers Tyga and Future as "proof" and made her stop listening to certain songs when he was around because he was so insecure. Even Chyna's mom said Rob goes through Chyna's phone, writing on Instagram (via People), "Rob goes into this woman's phone all the time and never find anything in this is what he confesses to me...He confesses to me that he know he has the issue but don't [sic] know how to handle it. He's a very emotional guy with many many personal issues."
Another source said, "Rob is a dad and that should be his focus...but he isn't mature enough to not start fights with Chyna in the first place. It's just a crazy mess. A very sad crazy mess."
On his own Instagram, Rob wrote (via People), "I'm not feeling so good after seeing [Chyna's] messages about me and what her plans were," he wrote on Instagram. "I have never been this heartbroken in my life...I treated her as a Queen...Someone I have given my all too. I Loved every inch of that woman and loved everything that came with her. I truly loved Angela. I gave everything I owned for her. Didn't know I was just part of her plan. I really believed she was in love with me the way that I was with her and I am so hurt and never felt this before. It's different when you have a kid with someone. And after reading Chyna's messages to her best friend she was going to drop me after a year. She didn't even make it to that. I am so broken. This is a woman I fought my entire family for. I was in love with this woman to the fullest and I was none of that to her."
He's reportedly physically and mentally unhealthy
In a series of her hacked, leaked text messages, Chyna allegedly lamented that Rob is "fat" and "lazy," and tells a pal that she'll give him one year to get his act together before she leaves for good. That's not necessarily the worst reaction in the world considering that, by all accounts, he seems to not want to take care of himself. When he and Chyna first got together, she helped him lose 50 pounds following a diabetes scare in December 2015—and he gained it back after spiraling back into depression. Sources say Rob falls into a vicious cycle: he lacks motivation because of his depression, which makes him gain weight, which in turn makes him more depressed. In September 2016, some sites reported that he was close to 300 pounds.
She's fed up
In a furious Instagram rant of her own, Chyna accused Kardashian of verbal abuse, as well as of not treating his own personal problems. "I'M DONE. This entire year I have done nothing but help Rob! It's so SAD & PATHETIC how low he'd stoop to cover up HIS PERSONAL ISSUES! I have done nothing but help & loved him from the beginning," she wrote (via People). "It's Chy here I got my own!!! I was doing swell before I got with him! I got him out of Khloe's house, helped him lose all that f***ing weight for him to do nothing & gain it all back! Rob asked for all of this! Rob begged me to have Dream! He stressed me out my ENTIRE PREGNANCY!!! Accusing me of cheating, going crazy on me with massive text blast daily! being an absolute lunatic & then cover it up with gifts!"
She added, "I was verbally abused every other day. I was still there with nothing but high hopes for us! I had to beg him to cut his hair, To take his braces of [sic], and To get more into his businesses! I shouldn't have to tell any grown ass man s**t! Not to mention Just brought him a brand new 2016 Range Rover! I PUT MY PRIDE ASIDE & I GAVE UP MY HOUSE TO MOVE INTO KYLIE'S HOUSE WITH HIM TO BE WITH A MAN!! We weren't together in that house 2 whole weeks before he starting calling me all types of b***es & h**s! AND I NEVER NOT ONCE CHEATED ON ROB! EVER! I gave him the passcode to my phone I have nothing to hide.He refuses to do anything! Eat healthy, work out, work, anything positive, he does nothing! Those Messages OLD AF! He only did this because when he went through my phone he couldn't find anything to be mad about! He's on snapchat acting hurt but he's yet to come see Dream yet! He knows where we are! Honestly it's only so much a person can take. Everyone has tried to help Rob. I've gone beyond to help & so has his family!"
She concluded, "I have no longer have time to feed into Robert's shenanigans I have 2 children & myself to fend for. What hurts the most is watching him do this to me knowing my last situation and promising to never put me through it. Especially after our child is only 1 month."
It makes for good TV
Watch one episode of Rob & Chyna and it's easy to see why the couple's drama may continue: however morbid it may be, it's entertaining for the rest of us. Their latest split happened the very same weekend that the Rob & Chyna Baby Special was set to air on E! (Dec. 18, 2016), leading many to believe the split wasn't real...especially because Rob kept insisting it "wasn't for ratings" and "isn't some publicity stunt." Perhaps he doth protest too much, because he seemed to quickly want to reconcile with Chyna mere days later on Dec. 19, 2016, writing on Instagram, "This weekend I was in an emotional bad place and did some things that embarrassed myself and my family. I apologize and I'm seeking help to deal with my flaws/issues. Please pray for me and I'm sorry @blacchyna. You are a great mother to our child and I love you" (via The Cut).
In another photo of daughter Dream, he wrote, "I am going to get better for you Dream. You are my life and gave me a new start on being a better me. Love you" (via E! News).
Could it be that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna will reconcile after all? Guess we'll have to tune in to find out.
