The Untold Truth Of Blac Chyna

Angela Renée White, known professionally as Blac Chyna, has had a very interesting life to say the least. She's a woman entangled in one of the most bizarre love triangles in reality TV (and perhaps modern) history — and that's when you remove her tumultuous relationship with Kim Kardashian's younger brother, Rob, from the equation.

This video vixen turned business woman is determined to leave her mark on the pop culture world, even if it puts her at direct odds with Kardashian clan. But who is Blac Chyna, really? Get to know the woman who might be the newest member of the Kardashian clan...if she and Rob can survive each other's unpredictable behavior.

Her mother's reaction to her stripping career was hilariously awkward

There aren't many girls who could say their mothers would be fully supportive of their careers as strippers. In Blac Chyna's case, her mother Tokyo Toni — whose real name is Shalana Hunter — stumbled across the truth in a very unexpected way. According to Oxygen, Tokyo Toni revealed the truth during an episode of the E! reality TV series Rob & Chyna.

While she was out at a night club, she noticed two women she'd never seen before were giving her the ugliest glares. Toni asked, "What's your problem, baby?'" and one of the women replied, "Oh, you acting like that now but you wasn't acting like that a little while ago." Apparently, they thought they knew her from a Washington D.C. strip club called Sensationals. Toni decided to visit to club and locate the doppelganger causing all the trouble. What she instead found was her daughter, Chyna.

"I go to the club and I see this fine little broad on the stage, popping and shaking and rocking. Mind you, I didn't know it was [Chyna] at the time. She bent over and flipped her head back...and looked dead in my face."

Things could have truly turned ugly, but instead Toni decided to show her unconditional love...by "making it rain" on her daughter. Awww?

She became a 'video vixen' thanks to her ex Tyga

Blac Chyna's rise to fame began when she was featured in in rapper Tyga's music video for "Rack City."

Since her appearance in the video, Chyna has gone on to feature in multiple music videos for artists such as Nicki Minaj, Future, and Kanye West. Thanks to her high profile video appearances, she soon became a hot topic among the hip hop crowd. It's easy to argue that had it not been for her leap from stripper to video vixen, we probably wouldn't be discussing Chyna today. That her rise to fame is partially credited to Tyga is no doubt bittersweet for Chyna, considering their once-loving relationship hit the skids thanks to Tyga leaving her and then hooking up with the not-quite-legal Kylie Jenner.

Never trust a Kardashian-Jenner?

It's a familiar story when it comes to the Kardashians and the women who at one time or another consider them friends: Somehow, the sisters frequently find themselves in relationships with the men of their current and former friends.

In 2013, Blac Chyna became a brand new BFF to reality TV starlet Kim Kardashian. This is important, because Kim K was already hot and heavy with rapper Kanye West, by whom the eldest Kardashian sister had North West in June 2013. Why is this important? Because in addition to her friendship with Kim Kardashian, Blac Chyna is also close to fellow former stripper turned model and video vixen Amber Rose. Amber Rose is, of course, an ex-lover and muse to West. Despite seeing her friends play musical chairs with their exes — Amber Rose briefly dated Kim K.'s former beau Reggie Bush — perhaps Blac Chyna thought she would evade the madness.

Well if so, she thought wrong.

Although their 3-year romance produced a son, King Cairo, Chyna and Tyga broke up in 2014. Their Tyga quickly moved on to dating Kylie Jenner, who he met when she was just 14. Despite the many raised eyebrows, both Tyga and Kylie began to date while she was a minor, choosing to make their relationship official once she turned 18.

Although Blac Chyna was allegedly heartbroken by Tyga deciding to date Jenner, she's since moved on Jenner's older brother, Rob Kardashian. Although, there was a bit of awkwardness at first, as evidenced by this clip from the Rob & Chyna reality TV show where she ran into her ex and Kylie Jenner.

Rather than make a fuss, Chyna admitted she decided to be the bigger woman because if she does marry Rob, Kylie will become her sister-in-law. And if Tyga sticks around and marries Jenner, they'll go from exes to in-laws.

She's no longer feuding with her ex or Kylie Jenner

Despite the initial awkwardness, the ice seems to be thawing — at least in front of the cameras.

Tyga seemed to stick up for Chyna when the Kardashians reacted to the news of her engagement to Rob, predicting she would likely have a child together with her current beau and even saying that his ex could carry on the legacy of the Kardashian name if she has a son at some point. Between that and Chyna referring to Kylie Jenner as her "lil sis" on Instagram, it appears whatever bad blood their was between the trio is seemingly over.

In addition to a connection through an impending marriage, Tyga and Blac Chyna are also encouraged to put their differences aside for the sake of their son, King Cairo. Cairo is fortunate enough to be able to spend Easter with Rob and Chyna and Christmas with Tyga and Kylie Jenner. Who knows? As relationships improve, it's possible the group may spend holidays together at some point, fully putting past conflicts behind them.

Her relationship with Rob is tumultuous

It's hard to know whether Rob and Black Chyna will ever make it down the aisle, but we can all agree their relationship put the pair at the forefront of 2016 pop culture. They became official in January 2016, and starred in their own E! reality TV series Rob & Chyna. The show focused on their plans to get married and also the birth of the couple's daughter, Dream Kardashian.

Also at the center of the reality series was the couple's often volatile relationship. Although the pair haven't been a public item for that long, they've made headlines repeatedly thanks to their very public falling outs — and just as public makeups. After an argument back in July 2016, Rob scrubbed all traces of Chyna from his social media account, leading some to speculate they had broken up. It wasn't the case.

It wasn't until Blac Chyna was seemingly hacked in December 2016 that things that her relationship with Rob hit a snag. Chyna left Rob — and took their daughter, Dream, with her. From there, the Associated Press reports that the couple engaged in a social media showdown which ended when Rob formally apologized to Chyna. The family reunited just in time for Christmas.

Hopefully their mutual love for their daughter will inspire the two of them to behave in a more mature manner in the future, while working hard to improve their relationship.

She's been in trouble with the law

Just weeks after she and Rob started dating, Blac Chyna found herself in trouble with the law. TMZ reports that Chyna was taken into custody "getting drunk and becoming belligerent" ahead of a planned trip to London. Allegedly, Chyna got into an altercation with a flight attendant, to whom she referred to as a "nasty a** b***h." Chyna was arrested at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on January 29. An eyewitness said she was "handcuffed and crying as cops took her away." She was also said to be "heavily intoxicated" at the time.

In addition to charges related to public intoxication, US Weekly writes that she was also charged with drug possession (ecstasy). Despite his ordinarily reclusive nature, Rob Kardashian drove California to Texas to bring Blac Chyna home.

Angela Kardashian vs. the Kardashian clan

Blac Chyna channeled her growing fame into an entrepreneurship. Chyna first opened a beauty bar, Lashed, in Los Angeles in 2014. She currently owns Lashed cosmetics, Lashed Bar and 88Fin, businesses through which she sells clothes and beauty products. In May 2016, Blac Chyna moved to copyright Angela Renee Kardashian, her would-be married name. As TMZ writes, this move would allow her to exclusively profit from the name in connection to "entertainment services, television and movie appearances" as well as "party hosting."

Well, the Kardashian sisters weren't having it!

According to Entertainment Tonight, companies belonging to Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian each filed a Notice of Opposition to block Chyna's trademark attempt. The complain claims the trademark by Blac Chyna would cause them to "suffer damage, including irreparable injury, to their reputation and goodwill." Yes, that was really the argument put forth on behalf of a family that rose to prominence off the back of a leaked sex tape and remains famous for the sake of being famous.

In any case, it remains unclear how directly involved the sisters are in the legal battle. However, it's important to remember that for the most part, the Kardashian family wasn't exactly thrilled by the news that Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian were getting married. This reaction may be an extension of lingering resentment for Blac Chyna's move to marry into the family.

What's next for Blac Chyna?

It's hard to predict exactly what's next for Blac Chyna, especially when it comes to her relationship with Rob Kardashian. The couple will reportedly be getting a second season of their E! reality TV series. That means more drama, unpredictable ups and downs...and quite possibly a wedding. We also may bid goodbye to the name Blac Chyna at some point if Chyna is ever able to wrestle the rights to the name away from her potential Kardashian in-laws.
