John Cena Proposes To Nikki Bella At WrestleMania 33

Congratulations to professional wrestler John Cena and his new fiancée Nikki Bella! The pair got engaged on April 2, 2017 at WrestleMania 33.

According to Us Weekly, Cena and Bella (real name Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace) had just finished defeating The Miz and Maryse in a tag team wrestling match when Cena bent down on one knee. In front of 70,000 people, Cena asked Bella to be his wife.

"I have been waiting so long to ask you this," Cena, 39, told Bella in a clip released by the WWE. "Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?"

Bella, of course, accepted, and the two shared a passionate embrace in the ring.

The newly engaged couple headed to the Today show on April 3, 2017 to talk about their relationship and the big proposal.

"I never actually would have thought that he would have proposed in front of all those people, but that's home for us, WWE is our home, it's where we met, it's our passion, it's our life," Bella, 33, explained to anchors Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones and guest-anchor Gina Rodriguez. "Honestly, I could not ask for it to be any other way."

Cena also explained that he had told the Total Divas (2013-) star that he was going to marry her over a year and a half ago–but there's no way Bella ever stood a chance of remembering the moment: she was doped up on anesthesia! Cena explained that right before she was wheeled into an operating room to have surgery, after the drugs had taken effect, he asked her, "You know someday I'm going to marry you?" To which, Bella reportedly said, "Yes."

Both Cena and Bella have been married before. Cena was married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012. Bella, on the other hand, wed her high school sweetheart when she was just 20 years old and had the marriage annulled three years later.

When Roker asked what changed the wrestler's mind about getting married again, Cena answered, "I found the absolute right person."

Cena continued, "I found a strong person [who] I consider an inspiration, an equal, somebody who when I'm feeling down picks me up...It took a person that strong to change my view on life."

Congratulations again to the happy couple!
