David Schwimmer And Wife Zoe Buckman Separate

David Schwimmer and his wife, artist Zoe Buckman, have officially announced their separation.

The married couple of seven years confirmed that they are indeed on a break in a joint statement to Us Weekly on April 5, 2017.

"It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship," the statement read.

The two continued, "Our priority is, of course, our daughter's happiness and well-being during this challenging time, and so we ask for your support and respect for our privacy as we continue to raise her together and navigate this new chapter for our family."

Schwimmer, 50, and Buckman, 31, have remained incredibly private throughout the entirety of their relationship. They met in London in 2007 while Schwimmer was directing the British-American comedy Run Fatboy Run. Three years later in March 2010, Schwimmer's rep announced their engagement to Entertainment Weekly, and in June of that year, the two secretly married. However, news of the private ceremony was not publicly revealed until four months later, when confirmed by People magazine.

Schwimmer and Buckman have one child together, 5-year-old daughter Cleo.

After spending most of his post-Friends career behind the camera as a director, Schwimmer made his much-anticipated return to acting in 2016 when he played Robert Kardashian on American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson. According to GQ, his performance was met with critical acclaim. Meanwhile, Buckman's third solo exhibition, Imprison Her Soft Hand, was showcased at Project for Empty Space in Newark, N.J.
