Kendrick Lamar To Perform At 2017 MTV Video Music Awards

The 2017 MTV VMAs are gearing up to be unlike any other.

On Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, MTV announced that Kendrick Lamar will take the stage during the Video Music Awards. While it hasn't been revealed just which song he'll be performing, it would seem likely that he'd perform "Humble," which has earned multiple VMA nominations.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Lamar, 30, received a whopping eight nominations for categories like Best Hip Hop and Video of the Year. He was also nominated for Artist of the Year, alongside fellow nominees Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, and Lorde.

The VMAs is scheduled to air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, August 27. Besides Lamar, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, and the event's host Katy Perry—not to mention 30 Seconds to Mars, The Weeknd, and Shawn Mendes—are also slated to perform.
