Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Step Out For First Official Public Appearance

After being together for over a year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally made their first public appearance together as a couple — well, technically.

On Sept. 23, 2017, Markle was spotted in the stands at the Air Canada Centre for the opening day of Harry's Invictus Games for wounded veterans in Toronto, Canada, People reported.

For their first ever joint public appearance you would think that the lovebirds would be sitting together and enjoying every second of the monumental moment, right? Wrong. The Suits star was actually seated four rows away from her royal beau. Markle apparently sat next to Markus Anderson, who reportedly played matchmaker for the couple a year ago (via Daily Mail). Meanwhile, Harry was seated next to notable foreign dignitaries including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and First Lady of the United States Melania Trump.

Nicki Swift previously reported that the pair was set to make their first public appearance as a couple at the Invictus Games, and Markle's appearance certainly does a lot to indicate the seriousness of the relationship — and to fuel engagement rumors.

While we wait and see if the couple's next public appearance will give us an actual sighting of Markle and Harry together, check out some odd things we noticed about the couple's relationship
