Sofia Vergara Tops List Of Highest-Paid TV Actresses

The Modern Family actress has been bringing home the bacon.

On Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, Forbes released their annual list of the highest-paid actresses on television, and, as to be expected, Sofia Vergara has come out on top—for the sixth year in a row. The 45-year-old earned a whopping $41.5 million before taxes in the 12 months prior to June 1.

But only part of her earnings came from her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family. Vergara was also paid for endorsement deals from brands like Head & Shoulders, Pepsi, and CoverGirl and product licensing deals with companies like Avon, Rooms To Go, and SharkNinja—not to mention other movie and TV roles.

The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco snagged second place on the list, having made $26 million, and Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and The Mindy Project's Mindy Kaling tied for third, earning $13 million each. While Cuoco, 31, and Pompeo, 47, mostly made their money from their TV shows (and some endorsement deals), Kaling, 38, cushioned her salary with roles in Oceans 8 and A Wrinkle in Time and a deal with McDonald's.

Law and Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay, 53, took the fifth place slot, earning $12.5 million.
