Taylor Swift Releases New Song 'Gorgeous'

Taylor Swift has officially released the third (yes, third) single off her upcoming sixth studio album, Reputation.

The song, released around midnight on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, is called "Gorgeous," and chronicles the tale of a girl who basically gets flustered by a guy's incredibly good looks.

"You're so gorgeous/ I can't say anything to your face/ 'Cause look at your face," Swift sings during the song's chorus. "And I'm so furious/ At you for making me feel this way/ But what can I say?/ You're gorgeous."

Diehard fans will likely be ready to give the song a Pulitzer; others may wonder whether she dug up those lyrics from her second-grade notebook. Either way, expect the song to go to number one.

Early reports, though unconfirmed, claim that "Gorgeous" was co-written by Swift, Max Martin and Shellback. Certain lyrics have also left fans wondering whether the song was written about Swift's new boyfriend, the actor Joe Alwyn, especially when she sings about the guy's "ocean blue eyes."

Reputation will be released on Nov. 10, 2017. Despite mixed reviews, the album's lead single, "Look What You Made Me Do," spawned yet another number-one hit for Swift, due in part to its uber-popular music video.

Its second song, "...Ready for It?", peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
