Eve Joins The Talk As New Co-Host

Meet the newest host of the CBS daytime talk show!

On Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, the ladies of The Talk announced that rapper Eve would be taking former co-host Aisha Tyler's spot at the table.

"Today is a very big day for us here at The Talk," Julie Chen began, before introducing Eve to audience members and viewers at home. Her face plastered on screens, Eve then walked out to her 2001 collaboration with Gwen Stefani, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind," as confetti rained down on the stage.

"Honestly, I am the most excited I've been in a long long long time," Eve, whose full name is Eve Jihan Jeffers-Cooper, told her fellow co-hosts. "I feel like the first day of school. My face hurts from smiling."

The 39-year-old added, "I'm so honored to be here with you ladies. Thank you so much for having me."

As detailed by a video compilation shared on The Talk, Eve brings with her years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. Shel also brings a fresh perspective as a wife and stepmother to four children.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, The Talk's previous co-host Aisha Tyler left the show in early August 2017, in an effort to pursue other creative projects. However, saying goodbye proved difficult for Tyler, who viewed her fellow co-hosts as family.

"The treasure of this show is my friendships with you guys, and that is something that I could never have expected when I walked in the door here," Tyler said of co-hosts Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood at the time. "I knew that this could have been a home, but I never imagined in a million years that it would be this magical of a place."

Hopefully, Eve will feel a similar connection to her co-hosts as she takes Tyler's seat on The Talk.
