In a since-deleted Instagram Live, Fetty Wap asked that people keep Lauren in their thoughts. "Y'all can do me a favor?" he said. "Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. [She] loved butterflies," he continued. "If you guys could do that, that means a lot."
The rapper did not address the tragedy any further in the video. The following day, Fetty Wap posted a sweet picture on his Instagram as an homage to his child. The photo depicts Lauren standing in a parking lot, giving the camera a toothy grin. "Hey mini-me (My Twin)," he wrote. "I love you to the moon and back forever and ever bestfriend," he then added a butterfly, dove, and teddy bear emoji.

Fetty Wap's kept the loss of his daughter private for weeks
While Fetty Wap and Turquoise Miami broke the news of the death of their four-year-old daughter Lauren Maxwell in early August and late July respectively, it appears that the tragic event occurred weeks before the news was made public. According to a recent report published by The Sun, Lauren died on June 24, and that "her family commemorated her life with a private funeral in Fayetteville, Georgia over the July 4th weekend."
Although the reasons for keeping silent on the death of his daughter for weeks is not known at this time, it's easy to speculate both he and Miami did so in order to have time to grieve privately before an eventual avalanche of media coverage. Per The Sun, it seems the rapper possibly made a reference to the death of his daughter following a concert in Miami on July 25, in which he said "LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl" after his performance, using Lauren's nickname.
Miami also seemed to anticipate the scrutiny before the news broke. On another deleted Instagram Story, the mother asked people to be compassionate of Fetty Wap as he deals with the public grieving process. "You don't have to kick a man while he's down, Losing a child is as down as it gets," she wrote, per Page Six. "All that Y'all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her."
The cause of Fetty Wap's daughter Lauren's death is still unclear
As of the time of this writing, the cause of Fetty Wap and Turquoise Miami's daughter Lauren Maxwell still remains unclear, but this could possibly change in as little as a few days. According to an exclusive published by The Sun on August 2, an autopsy had purportedly been conducted on Lauren and had been completed, though they did not state how they had come by this information, or how it could be corroborated — only that the publication had learned of it, and that "results are expected to be released in the coming days." The autopsy was presumably conducted over a month ago, as the funeral was over Independence Day.
While only time will tell if any autopsy results will be released to the public, it seems that Fetty Wap and those close to him are continuing to follow his desire to maintain privacy so soon after Lauren's death. According to The Sun, a spokesperson for Fetty Wap refused to comment after the tabloid reached out to inquire about the details surrounding the tragedy and the rapper's loss. Miami, meanwhile, said on Instagram (via Page Six) that she sees the people grieving, and wrote, "The energy is appreciated and felt."
