The Truth About Kris Jenner And Corey Gamble's Relationship

Kardashian/Jenner matriarch and certified "momager" Kris Jenner has had a few notable relationships in the public eye over the years. In the romance department, Jenner is best known for her marriages to attorney Robert Kardashian, who defended OJ Simpson in his 1995 criminal trial, and Olympian Caitlyn Jenner.

Following her separation from Jenner in 2014, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (aka "KUWTK") star met talent manager Corey Gamble, and the two have remained together ever since. Throughout their seven-year relationship, Jenner and Gamble have withstood skepticism and rumors, and remain stronger than ever to this day. Just recently, Jenner opened up to People about their special bond, telling the outlet in July 2022, "I think Corey is super. He's an amazing guy ... He's really supportive and he's really dialed into a lot of the different things."

As the pair are approaching their eighth anniversary in the fall, here's the truth about their relationship.

Kris Jenner met Corey Gamble in the midst of her divorce

In October 2013, Kris Jenner separated from her longtime spouse, Caitlyn Jenner, as reported by Us Weekly. The two married in April 1991, just five months after they started dating, and had two children together, Kendall (born in 1995) and Kylie (born in 1997). Regarding their separation, Caitlyn told The Daily Mail, "When Kris and I separated, it wasn't because of trans issues. It was for a million other reasons ... Kris and I had a great relationship for a long time. We built an amazing family. But circumstances and people change."

By September 2014, Jenner had filed for divorce from Caitlyn (via Today). Just one month later, the "KUWTK" star was spotted hanging out with Corey Gamble at a music festival featuring Kanye West, and later at a restaurant for a birthday celebration, per People. According to The Sun, Gamble is a road manager with SB Projects, a company owned by Scooter Braun that is known to manage music industry superstars like Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and J Balvin.

While Jenner and Gamble's relationship started off as friends, feelings quickly started to develop, and Gamble soon would make an appearance on the family's TV show.

Corey Gamble quickly made his debut on KUWTK

Not long after Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble met, the two started taking their relationship to the next level. In November 2014, the pair took a vacation to Mexico together and didn't spare the paparazzi from any love-filled pictures, as reported by People. The same month, Gamble accompanied Jenner to her 59th birthday celebration, which included giant cardboard cutouts of Jenner's children, per E! News.

As the couple's relationship progressed, it was only a matter of time before Gamble made his debut on the family's popular reality TV show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." In March 2015, Gamble was officially introduced to viewers as Jenner's boyfriend, though the Kardashian daughters had their own opinions about their relationship, particularly about their 25-year age gap.

In the Season 10 episode titled "Somewhere Over The Cuckoo's Nest," Kim Kardashian explained her stance on welcoming her mom's new boyfriend into the family, saying, "I'm worried about Mom a little bit ... I just hope that my mom really thinks things through, because I don't want her to rush into anything" (via People).

Following his debut on the show, Gamble started to get more comfortable sharing his relationship with Jenner on social media, and posted a picture of the two having dinner with Billy Ray Cyrus and then-wife Tish Cyrus on Instagram in April 2015.

The family hasn't always been receptive to their relationship

While Kris Jenner was enthusiastic and excited about her new relationship with Corey Gamble, the rest of her family, mainly her daughters, were not as thrilled. The pair's large age gap was a point of contention between Jenner and the Kardashian daughters, as Gamble is around the age of both Kourtney Kardashian (born in 1979) and Kim Kardashian (born in 1980). The "KUWTK" star addressed her daughters in a 2015 episode of the show, saying, "It's so annoying that my own family is being so judgmental because all I really want to do is live my life."

Eventually, the family warmed up to Gamble, but their relationship hasn't been completely smooth. Gamble has feuded with multiple members of the Kardashian family over the years. In a September 2019 episode of "KUWTK," the talent manager got into an argument with Scott Disick, the former boyfriend of Kourtney Kardashian, who also fathers their three children. While at dinner, the two argued over disciplining the couple's 7-year-old daughter, Penelope, when Gamble said he would "whip her a**," to which Disick responded, "Don't ever talk about a child like that! Get the f**k out of here" (via Us Weekly).

Disick was not the only person Gamble had beef with. In February 2022, Kanye West blasted Gamble in a since-deleted Instagram post, claiming that he kept his own family a secret and told Kim what music to listen to, among other odd accusations, per Page Six.

The pair have been open about their love life

While members of the Kardashian family have been slow to understand the spark between Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, the two have remained very much in love throughout the years, and have even been open about the intimate details of their love life.

In a May 2020 bonus clip from "KUWTK," Jenner explained to longtime friend Faye Resnick that she has no problem when it comes to being "in the mood." "Corey is like a walking, talking Luther Vandross song. He is so sexy always and all I want to do is like, cue the music," the Kardashian/Jenner momager said.

In a related conversation, during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Jenner playfully alluded to the couple's spiced-up romance while playing "5 Second Rule." Upon being asked to name three things Corey believes she does well, Jenner responded, "Oh, he thinks I am a good golfer, he thinks I'm a good mom, and he thinks I'm ... I don't want to say the last one."

Jenner has been accused of being Gamble's sugar mama

The nature of Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble's relationship — in particular, the couple's 25-year age gap — has been subject to speculation and scrutiny by both the Kardashian/Jenner family and the media as a whole. Among the many opinions formed about the pair's relationship, one that seems to remain persistent is the accusation that Jenner is Gamble's "sugar mama."

Similar to a "sugar daddy," a sugar mama is typically an older woman who dates a younger man with the promise of money in exchange for different types of romancing. In June 2017, these rumors were amplified when a source close to Jenner told People that their relationship is "more business than romantic ... Kris is basically his sugar mama." Previously, a source told Hollywood Life in 2014, "[Corey] doesn't pay for anything. Kris is footing everything, like a true boss and sugar mama, and loves doing so."

The claims that Gamble is with Jenner for the money even made their way to Kim Kardashian's "Saturday Night Live" monologue in October 2021. While touching on her family, the SKIMS founder jokingly said, "But the one thing I'm really proud of is that no one could ever call me a gold digger. Honestly, I'm not sure how you even become one. So, I asked my mom's boyfriend, Corey."

Corey Gamble supports Kris Jenner's career

Regardless of how Corey Gamble may have been viewed by the public, in Kris Jenner's eyes, he is a supportive boyfriend that has her back no matter what. During a March 2021 interview with WSJ Magazine, the entrepreneur explained the special dynamic she shares with Gamble, saying, "He's the greatest guy, and he's just an amazing support system for me, and he really gives me a lot of strength and insight."

Outside of providing general support to Jenner through life's many ups and downs, the talent manager has also helped to guide her through some significant business ventures. In June 2022, Jenner launched her own MasterClass, which instructs interested audiences on how to establish and maintain their own personal brand. Touching on the launch, Jenner revealed to People just how big of a role Gamble has played in her career, saying, "Corey's really great with people and helping me navigate such a huge team and all the things that are happening ... Everybody needs somebody to sort of run something by and help make decisions about the littlest things."

They have sparked several marriage rumors

Throughout the duration of Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble's seven-year relationship, the pair have understandably sparked marriage rumors. After all, most of the Kardashian family are not shy about getting serious and planting their roots with their significant others.

In a June 2022 episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians," Jenner's daughter, Khloé Kardashian, revealed that she heard a number of rumors that alluded to the longtime lovebirds secretly tying the knot. "I've heard from so many people that you're secretly married," she told Jenner (via E! News), to which the flabbergasted matriarch responded, "No, I'm not secretly married ... Stop. You think I'm gonna get married and not have a big a** party?"

The rumors did not stop with Jenner's own family. In July 2022, the "KUWTK" star and Gamble took a vacation to Italy and shared their many outings on social media. In one of Jenner's Instagram posts, the two are seen posing together, with Jenner wearing a stunning white dress and Gamble flaunting a stylish green suit. While many fans speculated that the wardrobe and scenery could have easily pointed to a destination wedding, no such thing happened.

The couple added a fluffy friend to their family

While children don't seem to be in the picture for Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, the two have nonetheless managed to grow their family by adding a fluffy friend to the Kardashian/Jenner pack. In January 2020, Jenner gleefully announced on Instagram that she had adopted a puppy named Bridgette from The Wagmor Pet Hotel & Spa, as reported by People. The Studio City-based rescue is known for sheltering dogs and working to find homes for them. Outside of Jenner, the rescue has also worked with notable celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and Ellen DeGeneres.

Bridgette fit in with the family right away, though Jenner did abandon some of her motherly duties at first, leaving Gamble to take over. In a September 2020 episode of "KUWTK," Gamble jokingly shared, "Kris is the one that wanted a dog, but I'm doing like, 99.7% of all dog duties ... What I think I've got to do now, is all the attention that I used to give Kris, I've got to just give it all to Bridgette." Given the longevity of their relationship, it appears that both Brigette and Jenner got equal attention from Gamble with no feelings hurt.
