Between wrapping up worldwide tours and hosting televised New Year's Eve parties, it's clear that this superstar can't be tamed.

Who doesn't love a good Disney love triangle? Miley Cyrus caused quite the stir when she left Dylan Sprouse for Nick Jonas. But, when you're Hannah Montana, you can probably afford to be picky. A young Sprouse spoke about the ordeal on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" saying, "We met at her set, I believe, and we dated. And then Nick Jonas walked by and it was over." Jonas and Cyrus subsequently went on to date for nearly two years from 2006 to 2008. "Nick and I loved each other," Cyrus told Seventeen Magazine at the time (via People), "... For two years he was basically my 24/7." But all things must come to end, and the couple eventually called it quits.

So what caused the breakup that led to her infamous "7 Things" hit written about the Jonas Brother? Well, another Disney love triangle, obviously. The same year that he and Cyrus called it quits, Jonas started dating Selena Gomez. In fact, some fans continue to believe that the "7 Things" lyric, "You love me, you liked her" was a dig at her ex-boyfriend's new relationship, per Genius. During an appearance on BBC Radio 1, Jonas spoke about how he felt about having the Cyrus song written about him. "I was actually kind of flattered, to be honest," he said. "It's there forever and I know it's about me." The singer went on to write "Lovebug" which the band confirmed was about his romance with Cyrus.

Who can forget Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus? The pair met on the set of "The Last Song" where they played the roles of Ronnie and Will, respectively, and their love seemed to burn just as bright off-screen. "[Liam has] become my best friend in the whole wide world. I love him," Cyrus told Parade in 2010. The pair dated for nearly a decade on and off before officially tying the knot in 2018. They divorced seven months later. Hemsworth and his then-wife kept their nuptials under wraps, surprising the world in a low-key ceremony at their home in Nashville.

The two had an intense romance, moving into a Californian home together, which inspired the Nashville native to write "Malibu." When they lost said home to the 2018 Californian wildfires, the pop star suggested that their bond only grew stronger and they wanted to cement it. "I'm not sure without losing Malibu, we would've been ready to take this step or ever even gotten married, who can say?" she wrote for Vanity Fair, in February 2019. By August, Hemsworth had filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. 

The Australian actor announced the split on Instagram with a photo of a sunset, writing, "Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward." He added that he'd be making no other statements about the matter to the press. Meanwhile, Cyrus wrote a Twitter thread denying rumors that she'd cheated on her hubby.

Mike WiLL Made-It really did "make it" into Miley Cyrus' inner circle, but just how close was the producer to the "We Can't Stop" singer? In 2014, Us Weekly alleged that the two did more than just work on music together, and had secretly been dating for nine months. The two spent time together in and outside the studio, and first fueled dating rumors when they were seen out in L.A. after Cyrus split from Liam Hemsworth in 2013. But Mike WiLL Made-It, whose real name is Michael Len Williams, was quick to shut down the rumor mill, tweeting, "Crazy how u can make something out of nothing."

The gossip certainly didn't hurt business, with "Bangerz" hitting one million sales within just seven months. Speaking to HipHollywood, Williams suggested that the dating rumors were simply a sign that they were doing something right. "You know, when you're hot, man, people are gonna talk about anything," he said. "... She's great, I'm great, that's what happens with greatness." Their greatness apparently continued with the two collaborating on a song for her 2019 album "She Is Coming." Three years later, Cyrus teased that they were back in the studio together via a photo set on Instagram.

By all accounts, the two appear to be great friends, with the performer even tweeting a sweet video of the two hugging before the 2018 Grammys with the caption, "We Made It!!!"

While we can neither confirm nor deny whether Miley Cyrus and Jared Leto dated, in 2014, sources alleged to Us Weekly that the two had certainly been enjoying each other's company. An insider told the magazine, "They like to have a good time, they love to talk about art and music — and they're both comfortable with nudity!" The outlet noted that he and Cyrus had been seen looking friendly at a pre-Grammy bash, fueling rumors that the pair were secretly enjoying some private dalliances. 

While Leto never commented publicly about his relationship with the "Plastic Hearts" singer, he did have something to say about her twerking skills. He spoke to Billboard about the uproar behind her provocative 2013 VMA performance with Robin Thicke. "I do think it's interesting how shocked people get," he mused. "If they could only see the rave their kids are going to and what their kids are wearing at the rave. Or just watch the video games they're playing. Those are probably the more shocking things in life right now."

Miley Cyrus got in touch with her feminine side when she broke things off with Patrick Schwarzenegger and decided girls really did have more fun — especially when that fun involves steamy make-out sessions with a Victoria's Secret Angel on the set of a music video. The pop star brushed off her Schwarzenegger breakup blues just fine, as she and model Stella Maxwell were seen in adorable Instagram snaps together following the split.

Cyrus had come out as pansexual at the time, telling Paper Magazine (via MTV) "I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn't involve an animal and everyone is of age ... Everything that's legal, I'm down with." Maxwell joked with V magazine that the two met on Grindr, but the pair actually had mutual friends through Cyrus' pal and personal assistant, Cheyne Thomas. "It's been a trip to hang out and see a little of their world. Felt very organic and right," she revealed.

As for how Maxwell defined the relationship? The Victoria's Secret Angel played coy when asked if she had a significant other saying, "Define significant..." As for how their romance played out, it may have been nothing more than a fling. That same year, Cyrus told Elle that she was just having fun. "I'm very open about it — I'm pansexual. But I'm not in a relationship. I'm 22, I'm going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I'm with."

Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus began dating in October 2019. Per Billboard, the two even spent Covid quarantine together, with Simpson taking care of his girlfriend when she had vocal chord surgery. They seemed as happy as ever, posting countless lovey-dovey Instagram pics (via Us Weekly). Cyrus was even the muse for Simpson's ballad, "Golden Thing," which featured lyrics like, "Diamond throne, all on her own, coffee skin, she let me in..." If that isn't enough to make a girl swoon, we're at a loss. Per People, Simpson told reporters at an event, "We just have a ball, yeah, and that's the most important part of a relationship, you know?"

In August 2020, the musical pair ultimately decided that they were going in two different directions in life, with Simpson pursuing a professional swimming career and Cyrus focused on her music and touring. On an episode of "The Kyle & Jackie O Show" (via Billboard), the Australian musician explained, "It's kinda of a mutual decision between us, just knowing that we were going in different directions in our life." The swimmer went on to qualify for the Australian Olympic Trials but finished last at the finals, vowing to return again in three years. Meanwhile, Cyrus finished up her seventh studio album "Plastic Hearts."

As of September 2022, the "Malibu" singer was linked to Liily drummer, Maxx Morando, sharing a cute snap on her Instagram alongside him at the Gucci "Love Parade" fashion show.
