ADELE'S LAS VEGAS DISASTER IS REPORTEDLY STILL HAUNTING HER
By FABIO MAGNOCAVALLO
It seems more changes will be made to Adele's upcoming Las Vegas residency, "Weekends With Adele." The "Rolling In The Deep" hitmaker was supposed to kick off the residency in January 2022 and perform every weekend until April, but just days before the first show, she canceled the whole thing.
In an emotional Instagram video, Adele said the show could not go on due to half of her crew and the team coming down with COVID, but reassured fans on "The Graham Norton Show" that the concerts are "absolutely happening this year". Plus, she has reportedly made a big decision surrounding the shows.
Adele has apparently fired the creative team for her Vegas stint and hired a new one. It has been rumored that the singer got rid of Esmeralda "Es" Devlin, her longtime set designer, because the pair couldn't agree on the show's vision; Es was replaced by Kim Gavin, former artistic director for boy band Take That.
Despite no confirmation on the dates, an insider claimed that Adele's shows will take place this summer in July and August. Hopefully she'll blow the roof off the place and calm down fans who are still furious at her last-minute cancellation, and who were also not given full refunds for their hotels.
