You're probably aware of the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial, in which Depp is suing his ex-wife for damaging his career after her allegations of domestic abuse. Now that Depp has said his piece in court, the public eagerly awaits Heard's testimony, but she's pulled a shocker before even getting started.
On May 2, 2022, Amber Heard fired her public relations team, Precision Strategies. A source told the New York Post that Heard was "frustrated with her story not being told effectively," and she's set to testify in just two days on May 4; meanwhile, experts are seriously skeptical of her latest move.
One crisis expert noted, "After years of narrative building, you can't change the public's opinion in the three weeks when someone is suing you in a case." Political strategist Lis Smith also said, "It's crazy to change teams in the middle of a trial like this because you don't like the headlines."
