AMY SCHUMER'S FIRST BIG MOMENT AFTER THE OSCARS SLAP FELL SHORT

After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, ceremony co-host Amy Schumer spoke about being "sickened" and "traumatized" by the incident. While many have either supported or side-eyed Schumer for her comments, a lot of people agree that her first public grand entrance since the Oscars fell flat.
The internet is not loving Schumer's look at the 2022 Met Gala, in which she wore an all-black ensemble with black sunglasses. The theme for the night was vintage "Gilded Glamour," tying in with the Met's exhibit on the history of American fashion, and many believe that Schumer did not understand the assignment.
One netizen commented, "I want to know who the f**k mailed out Amy Schumer's met gala invitation," and another replied, "A disgruntled employee with an axe to grind with Anna Wintour." At least Schumer was honest when she told La La Anthony for Vogue's red carpet livestream that she was only at the Gala "for the drinks."
