BRAD PITT HINTS AT AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT WILL SURELY DISAPPOINT FANS
By BRANDON BOMBAY
Brad Pitt has enjoyed an iconic career in Hollywood in roles from "Fight Club" to "Inglourious Basterds," and finally won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for "Once Upon A Time ... In Hollywood." However, in a June 2022 interview with GQ, Pitt hinted at starting an unexpected new chapter in his life.
Pitt spoke about his career nearing its end: "I consider myself on my last leg. This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?". The star's statement will surely disappoint some fans, but this isn't the first time Pitt has thought about stepping away from acting.
In 2019, Pitt told People that he enjoys doing other things besides acting, and "I think that one day I'll just wake up and organically [my career will] be done." He also told The New York Times that he likes being behind the camera as a producer, and his on-camera roles will likely be "fewer and farther in between" as he nears retirement.
