CHRIS PRATT OPENS UP ABOUT HIS MOST NOTORIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA POST
By AUDREY WILLIAMS
Chris Pratt may be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but not everyone sees him as a hero. Fellow actor Elliot Page once accused Pratt of attending the "infamously anti-LGBTQ" Hillsong Church, but one of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star's most notorious
mistakes involves his ex-wife Anna Faris and their son — and Pratt has finally broken his silence.
In November 2021, Pratt wrote on Instagram about his current wife Katherine Schwarzenegger giving him a "gorgeous healthy daughter"; Pratt and Faris' son Jack is physically disabled. One Twitter user wrote, "[C]hris pratt raving about how his current wife has given him a 'healthy daughter' is SO DISGUSTING when he has a lovely disabled son with his ex wife."
Another user tweeted, "[He] has a kid with Anna Farris who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage during birth and now has slight physical disabilities because of it. But he made sure to write 'healthy daughter' here." In the immediate aftermath, Pratt was vague, writing that he was "upset and depressed" so he "didn't want to work out," but issued no apology or direct comments.
In June 2022, Pratt finally spoke about the "healthy daughter" incident to Men's Health, saying, "My son's gonna read that [caption] one day. He's nine. And it's etched in digital stone [...] I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are—to the people close to me—a real burden." Pratt clearly knows that familial issues are made harder by being in the spotlight.
