The Pedophile
In July 2023, 63-year-old soccer coach, Camilo Hurtado Campos, left his personal cell phone behind at a local pizza restaurant in Franklin.
When employees went through his phone to find out who it belonged to, they found videos of Campos recording himself drugging and sexually assaulting at least 10 minor boys.
A Mysterious Death
In 2020, 18-year-old Franklin teen and star baseball player, Grant Solomon, was tragically killed in the parking lot of a baseball training facility.
Grant’s father, Aaron Solomon, alleged that his son was getting his baseball gear out of his truck when the truck rolled backward onto Grant, dragging him into a ditch.
Solomon's Allegations
In 2021, Grant’s younger sister, Gracie, alleged that her father had something to do with her brother’s death and that Aaron had been sexually assaulting her.
In a YouTube video, Gracie also claimed that Grant had plans to “out” his father for the abuse, which she speculated was Aaron’s alleged motive in wishing harm on her brother.
Teen Harassment
In 2021, former Visuwell Health CEO, Sam Johnson, was caught telling 18-year-old Dalton Stevens that he looked like an “idiot,” for wearing a gown to his senior prom.
The Backlash
Franklin’s annual Pride celebration was met with major backlash in 2023 after Governor Bill Lee made Tennessee the first state in the country to ban drag shows.
Franklin Mayor Ken Moore actually had to hold a vote on whether or not the parade should be held in their town that year, as anti-gay activists were hotly contesting it.
