John Stamos's DUI
John Stamos’ good-guy image was tarnished in June 2015 when he was arrested and later formally charged for driving under the influence of the club drug GHB. Stamos pleaded no contest, and later entered rehab, explaining his choice by saying, “I lost my mother last year […] I had this moment, I had some time off and I had a decision to make.”
Jodie Sweetin’s addiction...
Jodie Sweetin, who played Stephanie Tanner, admitted to “Good Morning America” in 2006 that she struggled with a methamphetamine addiction after “Full House” went off the air in 1995, noting how hard it is to “figure out who you are when you’ve lost your job at age 13.” Sweetin also endured three failed marriages, with the most recent one ending in 2013.
...And relationship drama
Sweetin was granted a restraining order against would-be-husband number four Justin Hodak after he “threatened to kill himself with a 9mm pistol if she made him leave,” according to TMZ. Hodak violated the restraining order twice by showing up to her house, while Sweetin took to Instagram to let her fans know that she and her daughters were safe. She has since remarried.
candace cameron bure
Candace Cameron Bure, aka DJ Tanner, has openly revealed her conservative opinions, and in 2014 she came under fire for saying that she “chose to fall into a more submissive role in [her] relationship” in order to make her marriage work. She defended this statement in a HuffPost Live interview, arguing she was using the Bible’s definition of submissive: “It is meekness, it is not weakness.”
a call to Mary-Kate Olsen
After the tragic death of Heath Ledger, who overdosed in 2008, his masseuse called Mary-Kate Olsen before calling the police. This, plus Olsen’s refusal to speak with law enforcement without immunity, led to rumors that Ledger died in Olsen’s residence. Her attorney stated that Olsen was not involved in the situation, and the case has since been closed.
