DID CAMILA MENDES AND COLE SPROUSE KNOW EACH OTHER BEFORE RIVERDALE?

Camila Mendes and Cole Sprouse have been co-stars on the high school drama "Riverdale" for the show's entire run, but at one time, these two actors were also schoolmates in real life. Mendes actually went to New York University at the same time Sprouse did, but they didn't form a friendship right then and there.
"He was a weirdo!" Mendes said of her first impression of Sprouse. "He had really long hair down to his butt cheeks. He was really shy too. I would see him at parties sometimes and I always kind of randomly talked to his brother [Dylan] but I never got a chance to talk to him because he was more to himself."
Mendes added, "Cole always laughs when I tell him that [...] I remember meeting him on certain occasions and he doesn't." She also says that the entire "Riverdale" cast is incredibly close, telling Us Weekly, "I wouldn't say we FaceTime a lot because we are around each other so much, so there's really no need."
