FANS HAVE MIXED THOUGHTS ABOUT LADY GAGA JOINING THE JOKER

On August 4, 2022, Lady Gaga confirmed on Twitter she will star in the "Joker" sequel, "Joker: Folie à Deux." The singer has been rumored to play her version of Harley Quinn in the film, due for release in October of 2024, and despite Gaga's critically-acclaimed acting in "A Star Is Born" and "House of Gucci," fans have mixed opinions on her latest news.
One excited fan tweeted, "I don't know about you all but I'm ready for Lady Gaga in Joker 2," while another wrote, "lady gaga is about to SERVE in joker wow." However, others were less than thrilled, with one user writing, "Lady Gaga actually cast in Joker 2 I wanna throw myself into the River [...] it's going to be the most annoying film ever made."
Another user added, "Lady Gaga after realizing she doesn't have to prepare for Joker 2 cause she's been acting a clown this whole time." Though Gaga has proved herself as an actor, the rumor that "Joker 2" will be a musical — likely due to her involvement — was doomed to upset fans of the dark and serious "Joker" (and/or people who hate musicals).
