When Pauley Perrette quit "NCIS," she left a large legacy behind. Her portrayal of Abby Sciuto was so iconic that it inspired a lot of young girls to pursue careers in forensic science, and Perrette even started a scholarship for them.
Perrette didn't take a long break from acting, as she quickly landed a starring role on the sitcom “Broke.” Sadly, the show was canceled in 2020 after just one season, but she still spoke positively about her time on the show, as compared to her difficult time on “NCIS.”
In October 2020, she announced that she was "happily retired" from acting, giving her plenty of time to hang out with her rescue dogs, experiment with her hair, and do a little gardening. She also does a lot of charity work and raises awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine, following her father’s death from the virus.
