Britney Spears and boyfriend Sam Asghari’s relationship lasted through the 2020 quarantine, when they had to socially distance from each other, and through Britney’s fight to end her conservatorship, with Asghari being a huge support system for her. How did Britney meet Asghari, who seems to be a total keeper?
In 2016, Asghari landed the role of the sexy stud in Spears’ music video for “Slumber Party,” and noted that Britney chose him herself: “They sent my pictures to [Britney] and she picked it. ‘I want this guy.’” After flirting on set, Spears asked him out for sushi, and they became Instagram official on New Year’s Eve.
Spears and Asghari have appeared together at awards shows, movie premieres, and more, and when Britney performed shows in Las Vegas, Sam often attended them. Spears voiced the desire to start a family with Asghari after she ends her conservatorship, as she wasn’t allowed to while still in her abusive situation.
Asghari agrees with Spears’ desire to have children, saying “I want to take my relationship to the next step [...] I want to be a young dad.” For now, the two seem to be very much in love, and here’s hoping that they can start a family in the future if they wish.
