HOW MUCH MONEY DID EWAN MCGREGOR LOSE IN HIS MESSY DIVORCE?

Divorce is never easy, but when you and your soon-to-be-ex are Hollywood A-listers with huge assets to divide, the battle can get even messier. When Ewan McGregor divorced production designer Eve Mavrakis, his wife of 22 years, the split cost him more than a pretty penny.
McGregor and Mavrakis haven’t openly spoken about their divorce, but it was not amicable, as McGregor was photographed kissing his “Fargo” co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead while still married to Mavrakis. When McGregor thanked his ex-wife in his 2018 Golden Globes speech, she and her family were not pleased.
After a three-year process, McGregor and Mavrakis decided to split his royalties from projects that took place during their marriage, including “Star Wars” and “Beauty and the Beast.” Mavrakis also got child and spousal support, plus the couple’s $6.62 million Los Angeles home, painting a tough picture for McGregor.
Despite the massive cost of the divorce, the former couple and their children seem to have reconciled. Clara McGregor says she regrets speaking angrily against her father in the past, while Eve Mavrakis has remained mum on the split — with the payout she received, it must be hard for her to complain.
