In 1995, O.J. Simpson was infamously acquitted for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, and O.J.’s life hasn’t exactly been smooth-sailing since then. From lawsuits to a robbery to uncomfortable Twitter antics, O.J. has found some bizarre ways to stay in the spotlight.

In a 1997 lawsuit, O.J. was ordered to pay $33.5 million to Ron Goldman’s family for their son’s death, though they've only received a fraction of this amount. The family struck back when they acquired the rights to Simpson’s book, “If I Did It,” and added “Confessions of a Killer” to the title.

In 2008, O.J. was convicted of the kidnapping and armed robbery of sports merchandise dealers Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley. Fromong said O.J. believed they were selling “thousands of pieces of his personal memorabilia, pictures of his wife from his first marriage, pictures of his kids [...] possibly his wife's wedding ring.”

O.J. was granted parole in 2017, and soon made a Twitter account, where he posted a bizarre video saying he’s “got a little getting even to do,” much to the disbelief of the Twittersphere. Simpson also briefly used the app Cameo to make personalized videos for “fans,” and he likely used his earnings to pay off his debts.

As for O.J. and Nicole’s children, they’re all grown up — daughter Sydney Brooke attended Boston University for sociology, and their son Justin works in real estate. While Simpson’s children seem to be doing well for themselves, he continues to be a controversial figure.
