IS JIM CARREY REALLY STEPPING GOODBYE TO HOLLYWOOD?

Jim Carrey made waves when he condemned Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars: “Hollywood is just spineless en masse, and it really felt like a really clear indication that [comedians] aren't the cool club anymore.” In fact, Carrey says he may be done with Hollywood forever.
While promoting his “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” film on Access Hollywood, Carrey dropped the bombshell news. “I am retiring. I am being fairly serious,” he shared, stating that “angels” would need to bring him a script in “gold ink” to do another movie.
“I might continue down the road, but I'm taking a break,” Carrey continued, stating that he wants to focus on his passion for art. “I really like my quiet life,” he says, “and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life [...] I've done enough. I am enough.”
