MANDY MOORE HAD AN EXTREME REACTION TO THE ENDING OF THIS IS US

After six seasons, "This Is Us" is coming to an end, and the show widely known for its extremely emotional moments will have a fittingly emotional finale. According to Mrs. Pearson herself, Mandy Moore, the last few episodes will absolutely destroy us — and reading the script actually evoked a visceral reaction from her.
During an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Moore admitted that she "threw up" after reading the script, as it hit too close to home. "[...] maybe that's just because it's really close to the bone for me," Moore said. Like, this has been my life for the last six years [...] there was a lot wrapped up in it."
Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate Pearson, revealed at the 2022 PaleyFest that she also had a physical reaction while reading the same script. "You can't catch your breath, and then you really can't breathe because your nose is stuffed," she said. "I told Dan [Fogelman], 'I need some help. I need some Advil.'"
Series creator Fogelman refuses to share what will happen in the "This Is Us" finale, but he's confident in his goals. "My hope is that by the end of the series, there is no stone left unturned," Fogelman told Entertainment Weekly. "It will set us up for a very beautiful and simple ending to the entire venture."
