Spouses Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have spoken about how they don’t believe in monogamy, which opened them up for a joke from 2022 Oscars co-host Regina Hall. Hall’s jab wasn’t as ground-shaking as Chris Rock’s now-infamous joke about Jada, but it was still fairly awkward.

While presenting the Achievement in Sound Award, Hall jokingly announced that some eligible bachelors in the audience had to be retested for COVID-19. She called out Bradley Cooper, Timothée Chalamet, Simu Liu, and others… including Will Smith.

Pointing Will out in the audience, Hall quipped, "You're married but you know what, you're on the list [...] it looks like Jada approved you, so you get on up here!" Smith laughed, but shook his head and stayed firmly in his seat next to his wife, a marked difference from his reaction to Chris Rock’s joke later on.
