Following allegations of incest, stalking, and physical abuse, Ricky Martin's controversial legal case has been dismissed. On July 3, 2022, a then-unnamed petitioner hit the singer with a restraining order and various claims of abuse; as of July 21, the victim has been identified as Martin's nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, and has withdrawn his claims.
Martin has finally spoken out following his legal battle, telling TMZ, "It has been so painful. It has been devastating for me, for my family, for my friends. And I don't wish this upon anybody. To the person that was claiming this nonsense, I wish him the best. And I wish he finds the help, so he can start a new life filled with love, and truth, and joy".
Martin went on to say that he is focused on healing through music and is excited to get back to performing for his fans, and thanked them for their support. However, the singer is still embroiled in a different legal case in which his former manager, Rebecca Drunker, is suing him for breach of contract, claiming that he owes her over $3 million.
