SOME RHONY STARS ARE COMING BACK TO TELEVISION IN AN UNEXPECTED WAY
By KATHRYN COOK
"The Real Housewives of New York City" has been one of TV's most talked-about reality series since its debut in 2008, and while the show has seen cast members come and go over the years — and never without drama — things are about to get shaken up even more, and two "RHONY" stars are heading to a different show entirely.
Bravo boss Andy Cohen told Variety that Season 14 will be a "rebooting and recasting" of the original "RHONY," but fans of housewives past shouldn't fret. Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps are about to have their own reality show, similar to Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's classic 2000's series "The Simple Life."
In the new show, Morgan and de Lesseps will pack their bags and head from The Big Apple to a smaller town — "somewhere like Kansas or Nebraska," a source says — to live "simply" amongst the locals. Filming is set to begin in July of 2022, there will be roughly 10 episodes, and fans can expect to see some undisclosed guest stars.
