Kate Middleton is known for her incredibly influential fashion sense — dubbed the "Kate Effect" by Express — as well as bringing awareness to many different causes. However, there's still much more that people don't know about the Duchess of Cambridge, including a certain hidden talent of hers.

According to Classic FM, Middleton is a pianist who was taught by her instructor, Daniel Nicholls, when she was just a pre-teen. Nicholls also taught Kate's mother, Carole, and her sibling, James and Pippa, how to play the piano as well; Nicholls described the Duchess as "lovely" and "very pleasant."

Kate showed off her piano skills at a Christmas carol concert she hosted in December 2021. Interestingly, Prince William also has a hidden musical talent — he knows his way around a bass guitar, as he revealed in 2015 when he presented Brinsley Forde, frontman for the band Aswad, with an MBE.
