“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes shocked fans when she left the show in 2020, calling her negotiation “extremely long, exhausting, tiring” and “emotional.” Those words also describe her relationship with her husband (and at one time, ex-husband), Gregg Leakes.

NeNe and Gregg documented their relationship on “RHOA,” and Gregg dropped a bombshell in 2010, when he “vented” to a radio host that he gave his wife $300,000 to start her career. Nene said that she always stood by Gregg even when he did her wrong, so for him to say such a thing caused the couple to lose “loyalty and trust.”

In 2011, NeNe and Gregg divorced, and NeNe told a source that she felt her husband was not treating her the way she should be treated, with the divorce serving as a “lesson” for him. The couple remarried in 2013, and though their relationship was still complicated, NeNe never divorced Gregg again.
