In 2021, Zendaya was honored with the Fashion Icon award at the CFDA Fashion Awards, and in previous years, she made news for her head-turning looks at the Met Gala. However, she recently shared news that she won't be attending the event for yet another year in a row.

Speaking to Extra, Zendaya explained “I hate to disappoint my fans here, but I will be working," adding "Your girl's gotta work and make some movies ... I wish everyone the best." She skipped out on the 2021 gala for the same reason; she had to focus on her starring role on HBO's hit series "Euphoria."

The last time Zendaya attended the Met Gala was in 2019, where she lit up the red carpet wearing a Cinderella-inspired dress while rocking blonde hair. "I'll be back eventually," she reassured fans, and her return is sure to be show-stopping.
