Britney Spears was thrilled to start her new life after her 13-year long conservatorship ended, and one of the first things she wanted to do is marry her longtime boyfriend, Sam Asaghari. Spears plans to hold her wedding at home, but on June 9, 2022, a scary incident at her Thousand Oaks property threatened to ruin the festivities.
Spears’ childhood friend and first husband, Jason Alexander, showed up at her home while wedding preparations were underway. Alexander wed Spears in Las Vegas in 2004, but their marriage was annulled less than three days later, and allegedly, he never got in contact with Spears again since she moved on with her life.
Alexander filmed an Instagram Live video of himself walking around Spears' property, and he even walked inside the tent where she and Asghari would say their marital vows. He said, "I’m here to crash the wedding, bro," and he claimed to have been invited, but the police were called and Alexander was arrested.
TMZ shared photos of Alexander, who has been arrested multiple times, being held down on the ground at the scene. "I am personally working with the sheriff's department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Spears' attorney told the outlet.
