The Shady Reason Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-husband Owes Her Millions
By JORDAN ROBLEDO
In December 2020, Kelly Clarkson filed a lawsuit with the California Labor Commission against her now ex-husband and talent manager, Brandon Blackstock.
In the documents obtained by TMZ, Clarkson accused her ex of not legally being her manager and claimed that his company charged her astronomical fees, costing her millions.
While Blackstock’s lawyer claimed that nothing illegal took place, a California Labor commissioner ordered him to pay over $2.6 million to Clarkson after their three-year battle.
As per People, the talent manager was found liable for overstepping his bounds when he secured some of Clarkson’s major contracts, which should have been handled by her agency.
Under his illegal involvement, Blackstock was paid hefty commissions from the deals, including close to $2 million commission for Clarkson’s coach role on “The Voice.”
