The rumors were somewhat silenced when Hanbury's son was picked to serve as a page in King Charles III's coronation, suggesting there was no bad blood between the families.
Cheating Speculations
In 2022, the gossip platform Deuxmoi ran a blind item suggesting that one of the princes had been cheating on their spouse because he liked "pegging," a type of sexual activity.
While the rumors were never confirmed, the past speculations regarding Prince William's love life made him an easy target, and many believed that he was the "prince of pegging."

According to Royal expert and author Tom Quinn, when it comes to behind the scenes, Prince William and Kate Middleton "have terrible rows where they throw things at each other."
When it comes to resolving disagreements, the royal author suggested that Kate was the peacemaker of the two and claimed that "William is the one who's a bit hotheaded."

Prince William found himself at the center of fresh allegations again in 2023 when various British tabloids claimed that he had spent Valentine's Day with Hanbury.
However, nothing was confirmed, and the claims were thought to have originated from a 2019 report that allegedly stated that William and Hanbury were seen kissing and hugging.
