The future first family was dazzling and dressed to the nines in rich magenta hues at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. This event marked the beginning of the Obama family's presidential journey, and Sasha and Malia were just 7 and 10 years old, respectively, at the time.
INAUGURATION DAY
During Barack Obama’s first presidential inauguration in January 2009, the Obama sisters stepped out in colorful wool coats and winter accessories designed by J.Crew. Malia wore sapphire blue, while Sasha dressed in orange and pink, and their outfits caused J.Crew stock to jump 10 percent.
