When news dropped in January of 2022 that "America's Dad," comedian and actor Bob Saget, had tragically died, fans immediately had Saget's family and friends – including his former "Full House" co-stars — in mind. Saget had a particularly close relationship with John Stamos, AKA Uncle Jesse.
Having been friends for over 30 years, Stamos and Saget stayed close after the end of their hit 90's sitcom. Stamos said he was "gutted" upon hearing of Saget's death: "I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby." In 2019, Saget called Stamos"the most wonderful brother anyone could wish for."
In 2019, Saget posted a photo of himself and Stamos with their wives, writing, "What can you say about someone you've loved for so long and want to spend the rest of your life with? But enough about @JohnStamos — We are both so lucky to have married these wonderful beautiful women." He clearly had the best camaraderie with Stamos to the end.
Saget's on-screen "Full House" family was like his real family; from 1987 to 1995, he played the patriarch of the Tanner family, DJ Tanner, to an audience of millions. In 2020, Saget thanked Stamos for for helping with his appearance on "The Masked Singer," one of his final TV appearances.
